Just as we thought- another decent oil/ gas day but we're down. Must be someone who bought big when POO was negative offloading now super a v.good profit. Give it a few months and hopefully the sellers will be done.
Looking better as I type- maybe we'll enter Blue Nun land in the next hour..
A grand finish Rookie1- no olive oil but an aero bar and Pot Noodle.
Hopefully a move into physical assets is underway. oil, gas no exception. That the sp has risen on the friday could be that the petro prices are staying high and week shorters have covered/ part thereof. A good tide next week should see us back in the 70's. Maybe the markets have settled now, after the mini-budget.
A good weekend to you all.
Looks like the old fashioned 'death of a thousand cut'. Well, I say 'death, we've millions rattling through the pipes every day. Happy to hold as we're a very rich company- just a pity the stock market is dragging most stuff down, so cr£p companies alongside wildly successful ones. I should have bought physical barrels instead ! I won't be retiring-ever due to a forthcoming expensive divorce (liberation more like) so I am ok with holding for a few years. Also , I can't imagine Mr. Putin is going to be too friendly over the next year or so. Putting this one in the bottom drawer. GLA
If 'those in the know' forsaw or involved themselves in the dropsy for the last few weeks, then the shorts should have increased. Should be a good day tomorrow. Brent and gas up nicely right now.
Being kept low for winter demand. Scotland here is getting much cooler now- all those gas fires in Craiglang will be on the N.Sea blue gold.
Thank you BaysilHope- my thoughts too. I also think the buy and hold (for a bit) has long gone. It's like AIM where you have to be a gunslinger and have a lot of dry powder on hand when the 'bot go all mis-pricey due to a company fraud or kid in his bedroom pumping out sell orders. Just a few trades/ year seems to reap more reward than 'old fashioned' buying well run with good profits, strong product demand and well run.
Just looking at the three month chart- are we heading up again ? Sure, some is 'noise' from the buybacks and sell offs from folk who braved the chill winds on the covid demand slump to buy in here cheap. The one month top (and boredom its brought (even I thought to sell) being a good waymarker. I feel there are new buyers (like Bank of A earlier today) are starting to replace the short term hedgies and the like to ride the next magic carpet of winter fuel demand. GLA
Doing well considering. Maybe some will look at their watchlists and move their dough to HBR now even if we turn light red after lunch. Besides a few lithium miners there's nothing that is doing as well as us (surely?).
Flattish so far, hope we get a boost later otherwise yesterdays nice rise would be (another) waste of time except for yet another smash and grab by the 'bots. Fingers crossed.

My current stop is 465 now for 460 yesterday morning. You just never know these days- even in a strong market for a certain product !
HBR reminds me a bit of TLW, another one with a ceiling, 50-51 in TLW's case. Some folk buy at 48~ and put a sell order in at 50~- may as well make a few florins out of the gatekeeper bots.

A great day- hopefully we press on gently to the 90's again or we end up paying 2% back only to pay back the remaining 0.36 the day after...
Nope way Pedro ! We are determined the Gods will reintroduce Newtons Classical universe and not the Alice in Wonderland one that rewards 3oop ++ a therm, millions of shares bought back AND more dough than Windy Miller.
Cod liver oil and Blue Nun required- I'm imposing my logic on Mr.Market again. Night night Campers.
A strange 'calm' in the oil markets. Paper v actual supply; interesting. There's a 'false calm' about oil markets, says International Energy Forum's secretary-general:

I'm hanging on for winter. Can't see my 465 stop triggered...
p.s. Just seen Mr. Putins Gazprom Europe scarey icey wind video.
We're of a few balmy islands of paradise in a sea of red on my watchlist lol. Big tech losses in asia. Again surely some are selling/ reducing/hedging and slowly =moving into energy. Also Triple witching time on 16th. Expecting energy spike from higher vols? Maybe something in it.
Blimey- right back to where we were ! Interesting to see if the 'bots keep it at '89-90 earlier or let is rise good and proper. Take out that Clearasil from yer bum Rookie1 and replace it with a diamond;)
Good for HBR, longer term anyway
Mr.Putin and Mr.Xi: Discussion expected new gas pipeline. Well, it was sort of expected, sooner or later...

So much for my "breakout wish". I certainly got whacked with a breakdown instead. Must be time for a Tizer on the rocks
LOL flash crash. Some one in their bedroom on a souped up Commodore 64 and a string off sell orders.
Maybe Mr. Putin is threatening atom bombs now the media has been rubbing his nose in the Clearasil. He won't take this like a squeezed whitehead.
