I’ve just asked an ex-colleague in Manchester. He told me no letters came to his DO. Yes, I’ve read about letters being removed from frames (seems a bit silly). But just do as directed and work to your finish time. I used to always say you can either do 8 hours hard work or 8 hours easy work; I aimed for the latter. But I’m afraid you’re wrong to think RM isn’t going to be a packet company, it’s going to be both (packets AND letters.......and leaflets). Anyway, onwards and upwards!

Oli, I even remember when I was on delivery a couple of years ago on a Saturday some old dear said “I didn’t know you delivered on a Saturday?” The public are generally clueless.

Also Mad, methinks an apology is due to Wolves; no letters came up from the MCs.

Mad, the public haven’t a clue who Rico is, or care for that matter.

What I can’t understand (perhaps Mad or Isle could elaborate) is didn’t the CWU suggest just doing 3 deliveries a week in early March but they’re up in arms now when RM are putting forward no letters on Saturday?

Did I read correctly that Shroders have reduced their holding? If so, it seems a minuscule amount. Why?

Do RM pay the same price for fuel as we mortals? i.e. including the vast amount of tax?

I think Fruit might have other stocks. He may be sitting on a large loss at present but only a paper loss and his average is quite low so the sp doesn’t have to go up an awful lot for him to break even. And he may have bought RM for the dividend which would have been considerable before the CV outbreak. I personally think he believes in RM as do I. But he doesn’t, nor anyone else, deserves any personal insults.

Yes, I agree Oli about social distancing. We’ll be continuing it even after the Govt says we’re all safe.
