of course, thanks. I'm still holding nearly 14,000. I forfeited 81 when I resigned early December but still got the dividend on them. And I lost a further 83 as I had to pay the income tax and national insurance tax on the remaining ones in the RM free share scheme. I'll hang on to them till they get back to £5 ish.

Can I assume you've never worked for Royal Mail? Your cunning plan would require lots more staff in the main offices to prepare all the walks for the delivery offices to deliver. When I started delivering 27 years ago I could get my entire round in one satchel. Not anymore. Nowadays it's maybe eight satchels with all the packets.

Hi Red. Yes it's going ok so far, I'm 5 weeks in. I bought my RM shares with inheritance money for the income so I'm in no hurry to sell. I don't need a new Porsche either, my current one is less than a year old. Happy days

But I couldn't face another Christmas delivering in Manchester so I'm revolting (that's what they tell me at my office). Just need this SP to get moving.

No, my last day is the 1st of December. Just in time for Xmas. The huge volume of packets are getting to me (which I know is good for the business) and in theory shouldn't be a problem but 50% of the recipients aren't in which is highly frustrating. I do hope I get my free stamps though.

I'm only 57 but I didn't fancy another Xmas delivering millions of packets in Manchester. I'm "emigrating" to Beverley to live with my lawyer girlfriend but if I get bored I may post mail there part-time. In the meantime we need this share price to get back to normal.

I'm a Postie (well, until a week on Saturday when I retire) and its business as usual as far as I can see. There are a tremendous amount of parcels at present and I don't see it letting up. I know what you can spend some spare cash on: a tip for your postman!

Isn't it bonkers this share? I've been delivering mail today for nearly five hours. There's still loads of letters and lots of packets but we're not making as much money as last year. Unbelievable. And yes, I'm still holding my 14,000 shares. Good news though: I'm retiring in two weeks.
