The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
2% no strings attached pay rise a further 1.5% when everybody in royal mail embraces the changes , working sundays granted not everybody, moving our start times forward three hours, working less hours in the summer more in the winternew starters on inferior pay, changing the sick pay agreements scrapping some allowances? royal mail have offered to buy out some of these which ones and for how much nobody knows, and the final 2% i am led to believe is linked to office budget so for instance in a six month period if the office you work in manages to save money everybody in that unit gets a share, not everybody in royal mail and the following six months you exceed your budget you will not receive payment for that period, so clearly it is not a pay rise, by the way i am also a shareholder and hope the dispute gets resolved , the union signed an agreement in feb 2021 called the pathway to change which royal mail has chosen to ignore. BLEET BLEET.
The cwu have just put out a statement to its members regarding the talks which started on monday they both have 30 days to agree some sort of change going forward or the members will be balloted for the second time for the changes royal mail are trying to force upon us, unless royal mail change their stance we will 100% be striking on two fronts pay and enforced change, if any body out there wants my advice do not buy any shares, you will be able to buy these a lot cheaper in a couple of months i worked all the way through the pandemic and find it disgusting that our ceo told his workforce they wil not be getting a pay rise unless we embrace all his changes, although he has back tracked and allowed us 2% he then lies and tells anybody who wants to listen the offer is 5.5% absolute lies, this dispute is going to get very bitter , nobody wants to strike we have no choice.
I have 4000 shares average £1.70 i have no intention of buying more or selling , i will keep these for five years until i retire, if i lose all my money so be it, i cannot understand people posting on this board who do not own boohoo shares.
royal mail have just offered 2% no strings attached pay deal this has been rejected.
I think we have to be realistic for me a straight 5% no strings attached pay deal would be acceptable, as for everything else royal mail want the workforce to do there are already ongoing talks with the cwu to achieve some of these goals.
In my opinion no chance the company will get anywhere near what the cwu are asking for around 8% no strings attached pay deal, first offer 2% plus additional 1.5 % if we agree to numerous changes reading through the list i this must be a joke, i think there will be a strike and i feel the share price will plummet the feeling in the office i work at is anger.
Anybody purchasing shares at these prices will do very nicely in the long run when the parcel hubs are up and running and the cost savings associated with these kicks in i expect the share price will adjust accordingly.
Hello all i own a small holding average £1.90 i will not be purchasing any more shares until the board show confidence in their own company and buy some for themselves , i really hope i am wrong but i feel the update in january is going to be even worse than the last one.
when the USO gets watered down to five days delivery of mail and it will, parcels seven days as is happening now plenty more savings, share price will clear previous highs.
Just to put out a balanced view out there its not all doom and gloom as some would like you believe, the sector of delivery offices i work in very busy all walking duties covered most days we even have postman wanting to work their leave days ringing our office to cove r overtime, nothing available at the delivery office they work at.
At the office i work in 60 walking duties in the last four months we have had 4 members of staff off with covid all unvaccinated thankfully all back at work but the virus has left them with underlying problems ie lack of energy, of the six new starters in the last six months four have left, believe me when i tell you the postmans job now is very demanding on your body, as one new starter told me he wanted an easier job ,lasted six weeks and went back to his previous job bricklaying, his parting comment to me was he will never have anybody call a postman again within his earshot.
I have a very small holding compared to most on this forum, until the court case in america is sorted out i feel we will continue on the downward trend, even the directors of the company are yet to purchase any more shares at this price, i hope i am wrong.
The next holding rns will be interesting, some funds must be offloading?
Yes,you can sell them through your share view account, just click onto live sales and follow the links.
I think the dividend will be reinstated, but it almost certainly will be slashed from previous level.
compared to last year the volume of parcels are up 50% for the last two weeks.
The Christmas bonus is 100% to be paid in December, the three year pay deal will be announced on Friday.
