Adam Davidson, CEO of Trident Royalties, discusses offtake milestones and catalysts to boost FY24. Watch the video here.
Yep, really disappointing to hear that he’d take 23p after all the fuss we’re going through.
‘Ecuador has become the deadliest country in South America with drug gangs and their Mexican cartel bosses murdering people, exploding car bombs and terrorising communities.’

It’s not old news. It’s from yesterday.
This is probably one major thing that is affecting the share price at the moment…

What a mess. I’m sure a Chinese company will buy Cascabel in the end. But they will be buying it from the Ecuadorean government after Solgold has gone out of business by April.
Thanks a lot DBW :)
Hi DBW, where are these quotes from Irwin coming from? I didn't hear him say this on that podcast (possible that I missed it though).
Sharket, but maybe he does now that he's in the position to do so.
I hope not by the way. I want Solg to do well and to be sold, so I know it's a cynical comment from me about the share purchase. I'd be impressed if he bought a lot more shares, but £94k, relative to his wealth, just seems to be a token gesture to try to encourage investors and to prop up a falling share price.
Is it that impressive that a multi millionaire just spent £94,000 buying some shares? I'm sure it isn't much of a dent in his finances and may have been done as a PR exercise to show 'support' for the company, rather than it being a major investment for him that he actually is bothered about.
Expect a sale of the company in February 2023 then ;)
People have been saying 'something must be happening in the background...' for the last 12 years! Haha...hopefully it turns out to be true for once.
Next stop...12p :(

Hey all! Just for fun (but hopefully with a bit of intelligence behind it, from those that know what they’re talking about), here are a couple of simple questions:
1) Should we expect a bid immediately/a few days after the PFS?
2) Assuming the whole of Solg is sold, what price do you expect? (I’ve always said £2.50)
Why is this down 7% today (rolling my eyes)...
Hi All. I’ve had my Solg shares for over 10 years and haven’t sold any in this latest drop, which has been quite horrible to watch of course. I’m still positive about the company long-term prospects even though I have some quite negative-sounding questions…
These are the questions that are in my mind at the moment:
- Will NM sell some or all of his shares at some point? (maybe even out of spite)
- Will one of our big investors (BHP, Newcrest, the Chinese company) pull out and sell their shares?
- Is Alpala still economic to mine?
- Are there actually any worthwhile deposits in the rest of Cascabel that make mining Alpala more economically viable - Aguinaga was hyped up massively a few years ago and then fell silent
- Will any of the regional concessions meet/exceed expectations? e.g, is Porvenir all that great?
- Will we have a pro-mining/stable government after the election?
I’m sure that some of these questions have already been discussed/addressed on this board in the last few days, but these are just my thoughts.
Ladies and gentlemen, this has been posted before, but here's the link to a Mining Journal article that was published in November 2020. Let's see if this materialises anytime soon...

Hi Novice. Those are indeed the facts. But sentiment is different. I’m not selling my shares by the way.
Don’t speak too soon Novice! I think the share price is more likely to be back in the 20s in the next few days/weeks, than the late 30s or early 40s.
There’s very little positive sentiment towards Solg at the moment...
I've had my Solgold shares for a very long time now and only want the best for the company and its shareholders. I just wonder whether the management politics and likely bad feeling between major shareholders may overshadow any great progress that the company is already making and will continue to make. I would have expected the share price to be far above its current level by now, but things are obviously holding it back. Is the next obstacle going to be the Ecuadorian presidential election? Hopefully Nick won't sulk about his narrow win at the AGM and will still continue to update us on progress, whilst not delaying the PFS further, just to annoy certain large shareholders.
