LONDON - GENinCode Plc (AIM:GENI), a predictive genetics company focused on cardiovascular disease and ovarian cancer prevention, has secured an additional £580,000 through a subscription of 58 million new ordinary shares at 1 pence per share, the company announced Friday.
This additional subscription follows the company’s initial fundraising announcement on January 21, bringing the total gross proceeds to approximately £4.7 million. The company stated the additional funding would provide a longer cash runway as it works to provide updates to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its De Novo application for the CARDIO inCode-Score test.
According to the press release, investor demand exceeded the amount raised, but GENinCode was limited by its existing authorities. The additional subscription shares will be issued using authority set out in resolutions proposed at the upcoming General Meeting and authority granted to directors at the company’s annual general meeting on June 30, 2025.
The terms of the additional subscription match those of the initial fundraising, including price and conditions. Admission of the new shares is expected on February 11, 2026, conditional on the passing of resolutions at the General Meeting.
The cardiovascular and ovarian cancer-focused genetics company trades on London’s AIM market under the ticker GENI.
