Haha! Yea, its a bit like kicking off because you have bought a lottery ticket each week for a year but have not yet won the jackpot. The rest of the placing shares land tomorrow, wonder what difference that makes if any.
Well I have gone from a decent profit to a small profit since Friday, but don't get why people would sell at this stage when the results could land anytime. Probably explains Fridays rise, people buying in incase something was announced on Monday.
https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/massive-graphite-shortage-looms-over-electric-car-future-652471503.html interesting article about the forecast increase in graphite demand, and Albas offering is purported to be world class. Now if only we could get it out of the ground and sell it...
Will see if millions of buys/sells flood in, or like usual nothing much happens. Haha
The difference is Nookie that for the last 5 years Alba has earned sweet FA and has been diluted to keep the lights on. Over the next year or two there is a glimmer of a chance that this will change
So the optimist in me is saying the 350k placing should give us around a years runway maybe, and if they manage to intersect some gold in that time and maybe find a partner in Greenland further placings may be a thing of the past...who knows. Nice to see some activity again, HH is great but need to keep all fronts moving if the sp is going to shift
https://www.foodstuffsa.co.za/introducing-micro-salt/ this was from 2011, wonder how they are doing now
No idea where I got the 11th Nov from
We will find out as the accounts tend to land around the 11th Nov. Be interesting to see what the current NAV looks like now hh is closer to production and we have a maiden JORC resource at tbs
Meh...any fundraising is a pain but to be honest could be much worse. Question is, how are they going to spend the money. With 350k and a anything else they may have alba should be funded for long enough to secure a partnership for Greenland assets...if there is another fundraise anytime soon then I will be looking elsewhere
Strange that the price has dropped so much, looks like lots of buying but hey ho. As for a placing I suppose its inevitable really and to be honest I would rather just get it out the way before negotiations over Greenland start so we are in a stronger position. Realistically the last placing did not make much of an impact in terms of new shares released so hopefully this will be the same.
https://www.clogau.co.uk/NewItems/Index.aspx I suppose these are a natural buyer for any gold found as they are selling jewelry at a premium for having even the tiniest amounts of gold formerly mined from cloggy. They made over 2m profit last year. In terms of a vertically integrated mining/jewelry producer there is shefa yamim who seem to be doing ok. Looks like we will be waiting a while for income unless a deal for Greenland lands though
http://www.angusenergy.co.uk/what-we-do/brockham-oil-field/ looks like Angus still plan to try, so maybe all is not lost even if this recovers some residual value? Looking forward to this years accounts to see what Albas NAV stands at now as there has been a fair bit of activity this year, maiden JORC resource at Thule, Brockham gone to shiznit etc.
I know that this barely gets a mention now after the disappointing test results, but for those in the know oil wise do you think it likely that Brockham can be salvaged drilling the Portland?
I think positive results from the Bluejay testing with Rio might mean a partnership won't be far behind. Who wouldn't want to have their fingers in the worlds purest Ilmenite resource afte rall. The question would be the terms of such an agreement as the more developed the resource the more favourable it is likely to be for Alba. A partner may assist with expanding the JORC resource estimate through permafrost drilling of off shore exploration.
Thats my thinking dsfat, HH may give is a lift in the run up to christmas and maybe a positive result for Bluejay may have a small knock-on effect but the real value drivers (gold in-situ at one of the recomissioned mines, a JORC maiden estimate for new gold discovery in Wales, and increased JORC resource at Thule, a partnership for Greenland assets and so on) will most likely not come into fruition until next year so I personally expect the sp to bounce about similar levels until significant news stirs things up a bit.
At 8am we were down 7pc with a 33.33pc spread, no trades. Don't get the logic of shifting the spread about so much
Down 7pc already and not a share sold. MM's just tinkering with the spread
Do you mean what would the NAV be? Share price often has little to do with actual revenue etc, more market sentiment. Two companies with a similar EPS etc can have wildly different mcap/sp. HH is far from our only asset also, so who can say?
Totally. If the oil revenues could be used to fund exploration/development of our other assets without further dilution that would be ideal. And increased JORC Ilmenite resource would be nice...kenmare are an Ilmenite/zircon mining play with an mcap of over 260m but there Ilmenite is of much lower quality to that found in Thule and I suspect the mining costs are higher (as BlueJay had mentioned, mother nature has mined ours for us!)
