NAV should be higher this year as the value of TBS will have increased following the declaration of a maiden JORC resource estimate. The final results for this year should make interesting reading
That's true Ocelot, here's hoping...
They still have an exploration target in Ireland but its on the backburner as they have yet to intersect anything other than positive geological indicators. The whole uranium thing, I saw mention of this from years ago but nothing since. Wonder what happened. Just to labour the point again, people often talk about the need to have an operational mine for a company to be valuable. There are endless examples of companies with nothing more than a resource estimate being worth countless times Albas current share price (Solgold, Greatland(200m mcap etc) and all started off as just a pipe dream followed by countless rounds of dilution and falling share price. Finding gold is often enough, and finding gold in Wales would be bigger news still...assuming of course they DO find gold. That aside, Ilmenite and Graphite confirmed and even if people were sceptical about Alba and the BOD, oil income alone should push this way over its current price and for that all we need is UKOG (or maybe even Angus) to come good. I suspect the share price will continue to slide for at least the first half of the year but I am happy to average down as unlike most companies we have a chance of success on a number of fronts rather than just one. To get anywhere fast we need a JV for at least one of the mining plays however.
I remember seeing this from a while back, but it doesn't seem to come up much. The gold is a shot in the dark, which is fine as if there is enough then that would send the sp to the moon...but personally I am more interested in the assets that Alba have confirmed ie Ilmenite and graphite (and oil depending on partners). This is something substantive at least, so if Alba were to shift focus too much to Clogau then sadly I too would be out
In many ways loading a ZX and gold exploration are compatible...a long and often painful process with a mixed success rate. Haha!
That is good news, there aren't many Ilmenite sources kicking about so may put Alba on the map to some degree.
Haha! Now that's commitment dsfat! What kind of thing, or is it just a passing reference?
I will grant you that one, but that is more to do with lack of interest than lack of potential.
Seriously, your posts read like the were written by Yoda after a night of sniffing glue. What 'facts' are you talking about, you made a handful of sweeping statements based on nothing tinged with abuse but have not pointed to a single 'fact' to back it up. Filtered.
...I am not an Alba fan boy by the way, I think that this could still be a good though speculative and risky investment but I appreciate worthwhile contributions to the contrary assuming they are based in fact and not just 'Alba will fail, shareholders are blind ramping sheep...blah blah blah.'
Me, the BOD, and a number of institutional investors band pi's are all deluded. How? Yes, more aim companies fail than succeed but there are also a great many similar companies that have seen massive returns, usually after long periods of dilution. What is your actual point? What information do you claim to have that Alba won't succeed, or that the assets that have been audited are in fact worthless? Do you actually have a position here?
...err...so I am 'involved in a commercial job' and everybody knows share prices don't go up in a straight line, nor do house prices, or any other prices. When the share price does not reflect a companies underlying value then an opportunity exists...basic investing. You may be right, you may be wrong...time will tell. Many people do have their heads in the sand (the guy who ploughed 250k into syrius and lost it all for example) but I doubt most people are so foolish.
So with further dilution somewhat mitigated and funding potentially in place for a year I think at least a maiden Jorc graphite estimate and maybe a JV agreement should be the least we should expect this year. There may be commercially viable gold quantities in Cloggy, there may not, but at least we know the graphite exists. HH2 should be in full swing, and the trenching may identify new gold targets. A big gold strike in Wales will play well with UK investors I would say, and if Bluejay get approval and their Ilmonite samples come up trumps then that should generate some interest too. Who knows, maybe a JV deal with Bluejay given the proximity to Dundas? I think increasing the Ilmonite resource estimate should be on the cards for next year with any luck. This has to be close to bottoming out now, so I for one will be topping up until news lands
I am one of them. Ha! Down about 50pc at the moment and expecting to be down further until news, my point is you can be down but not complain about it every day - its a self fulfilling profacy sometimes, complaining puts off buyers, sp drops sparking more complaints. 5 years and this will look like a very different company in my opinion, but that's a long time to put up with the same posts day after day.
Hi Groover, which point do you disagree with?
A) it would not be wise to sell of existing assets until at least a reliable resource estimate is obtained as this will be reflected in the price.
B) with an mcap of circa 4.5m and nav of almost 9m at last count Alba is currently good value for money?
C) overtly negative sentiment on boards like this can have a deflationary impact on share price as some people still use them for research?
....and Greggs messing about baking things, if they have eggs and flour JUST BLOODY SELL IT! Sigh. If you all hold such huge stakes here then why spend every day plastering this board with miserable waffle and putting off prospective investors? It will be several years until Alba generates an income (GF himself)...share price and value are independent of each other, so regardless of the posts here I think Alba are very well priced currently and have at least secured funding for the next year or so
Do my eyes deceive me, up 20%...thought I was on the wrong board for a moment
Must admit I sold 750k today (which isn't showing in the trades on here?), not because I don't have faith that this will come good in the end but to hedge my risk and because I wanted to top up another share. As GF has made clear it will be a few years yet before the money starts to come in so going to build back up a little each month over that timeframe with a view to evening out some of the endless dips. Sigh...
3 years of environmental studies etc for something that is relatively easy to mine, further proof that it could be a long wait but will come good in the end. Wonder if the sp will continue to creep up today...
Ha! Typica
