The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
The price us onzima share holders and new investors settled for back on the day of the reverse take over was 7 pence from what I remember. Still got some way to go to get back to that level. Need some news with a clear pathway forward to get this moving up and beyond. A clinical trial would at least get attention leading to speculative buying, then it's a case of stick or twist before results.
key message from PANR's RNS:-
'Initial analysis indicates significant improvements in reservoir quality which could potentially lead to a material upgrade of the current resource for all targeted horizons.'
Some positives from the interview:-
"we're in advanced talks with US regulators (regarding patents) and we are hopeful there will be news soon. And thats a big big market"
" And there's China, India, Japan and Canada where its going through the national phase examination. They could pop up at any time"
But
" we would have to do early collaborative work (with a partner), which we would have to fund" (from minute 15)
" but the work we do doesn't take long and isn't very expensive"
So, it seems there could be a stream of news regarding patents and any collaboration would require the company to fund the studies involving Nuvec and the partners product.
Thats not a bad outcome though. Its all positive and exciting.
So it seems we're currently ranging around 1.30 (18 cents), which is the price of the last cash raise (360 million shares) to none other than Elko...one of the main contractors. I for one will accept that for now - and hold.
However, given that the work we have paid for hasn't been completed because of 'their' equipment failure, should we not have a partial refund or an agreement that a future drill will be covered?! This all seems a bit hard on 88e and its shareholders. We've paid a considerable amount for a drill program only for it to fall flat because of a power outage - not 88e's fault.
If we paid for a house to be built and the poorly maintained generator broke down, do we still pay for the full cost of the house when all we've got is a hole in the ground?!
ITM, AFC and CERES are getting hammered. One point to note - they are all moving in unison. Take a moment to look at their charts today side by side. They all dropped by 10% + from the off, which stopped at 10:30 give or take 5 minutes and now all consolidating and climbing. I expect they'll all mirror each other this afternoon.
Sentiment is shared across the whole broad spectrum of 'green' energy it seems, but these movements aren't being driven by hordes of personal investors acting simultaneously across companies.
What to do from here?! It's anyone's guess but it just goes to show how we are at the mercy of market makers, for good for worse.
the reverse take over to N4P saw onzima shareholders getting shares at around the 7p mark from what I remember. Taking that as a start point there have been highs followed by deep lows, but this current situation is different. We have a solid first step in proof of concept with nuvec, whereas previous highs were largely based on speculation surrounding the viagra work. We are now fully funded moving forward. The next thread of news of significance will be regarding the future research and maybe even potential partners. I'm more confident now than ever before with N4p. The only way is up as they say!
On the day the reverse take-over came into effect all the excitement on here was with their work on viagra. I read through N4Ps website and what actually stood out for me was Nuvec. I then wrote an email to Nigel congratulating them on the reverse take over and saying that the work on Nuvec looks very promising. He never replied, but thats ok.
If things go well for us all from here I'll be writing to him again!
Yes, it's interesting that Nigel made direct reference to Pfizer's mRNA covid vaccine in the last RNS. Be interesting to see what comes in the next release and what research they intend to do in the next phase to strengthen the proof of concept.
Yes, nuvec is a means to deliver DNA or mRNA - its a protective transporter. The latest RNS was very encouraging as their tests showed that the DNA they used had remained intact when attached Nuvec even after it had been stored (freeze dried) for 14 days.
They will now need to repeat the process I imagine but using vaccines/genetic material that are currently in use.
I'll get things going. I'm a science teacher (secondary) so can give a basic break down:-
a virus is not a living thing, unlike bateria, and has no nucleus or cell organs. Its just a simple packet of DNA. It needs to get inside a living cell in order to reproduce and then burst out of the infected cell, the new virus cells then replicate the process and so quickly increase in number. The body's immune response is to produce antibodies (latch onto virus cells and infected body cells) and killer T cells which attack the virus and infected cells. Thats why when you get a cold you often feel run down as your body is at war with the virus. After overwhelming the virus our body then keeps some of the antibodies/killer T cells, now called memory cells, so that if you encounter the same virus or something very similar your body can make the defence cells quickly again. Each cold you get is a slight variant on the ones you encountered before. The big danger to humans however is when a virus like the flu infects another species, typically mammals, then jumps back. Hence the phrase swine flu or bird flu.
When you encounter an entirely new virus from another species, like covid 19, it takes us longer to make the antibodies and killer cells;older people or those with other health conditions, can succumb to the symptoms before their body can produce a strong response.
So to vaccines:-
a vaccine is actually the virus itself which has been modified to reduce symptoms and give the body more time to produce the anti-bodies and T cells. Thats why some people have mild flu like symptoms after having had the flu jab.
DNA is a double helix structure
RNA is a single strand. Image the double helix unravelling.
mRNA a single strand that carries an instruction - in this case it instructs the body to make the antibodies and killer T cells.
These structures are delicate and easily damaged.
Nuvec has the potential to protect and carry mRNA or DNA into the body and release it into the target cells.
So, Nuvec is not a vaccine, but it helps to protect the single or double stranded molecules until they are released inside our bodies cells. This has the potential to make vaccines more succesful.
This is a good short read with reference to N4P and Nuvec

Any folk out there left from the Onzima days? For the majority of you - Onzima had a 49% stake in N4P and then the reverse take over occurred . I bought into ONZ way back in 2016 because of its investment in N4P. Its been a long road but finally it feels like the stars are aligning. Great to see so much interest here now - I can only see this going north. I wont be popping champagne yet, but I'm putting the fairy lights up!
Question on my mind is why has the nomad resigned its position?!
From what I can find its likely one of the following:-
1. Profit margins for Nomads have shrunk as the number of AIM IPOs have remained low. The tighter regulatory framework put in place by the London Stock Exchange has also added to the costs of Nomads. This has been intensified by Mifid II regulations, which have added extra complications and costs for Nomads that are part of broader stockbroking groups.
2. GCM is unwilling to accept guidance from the Nomad on the company’s responsibilities to AIM or breaches the AIM Rules for Companies.
3. The reputational risk for the Nomad of continuing to act for that business is too great e.g. if GCM has poor corporate governance.

Very interesting and encouraging update.
The ability of nuvec to retain DNA structure when dried is an exciting development. That would certainly get attention if the later results support these early tests.
Very happy to continue holding here.
What a turn around since the HNR days. I must confess I lost faith in HNR and sold at a loss. But, I followed developments and bought back into this new project a while back. Solid daily support coming now, so maybe a few more old HNR shareholders are making their way back.
If the good ship Zoetic keeps chugging along at this rate I might have to name my next daughter Zoe!
"a business on stage 3"
we should be clear - the company is not at stage 3 of a clinical trial (on humans). They have a 3 step plan for proof of concept in vitro ( in the lab) and are now at the '3rd stage' of this pre in vivo study (on living organisms/human trials). So its been seeing whats happening at the cell level. Its doubtful a multi million package will be forthcoming at this stage as it still needs proving up. But nonetheless, its promising and we can expect more buying in from now probably
Yep, it’s old news and to be clear it’s fake news. Polo RNS 14th Feb:-
“A minority shareholder of Polo Resources, has served to create unnecessary and inaccurate speculation surrounding the Company.
Polo, has, without success so far, attempted to contact the originator of the article in order to formally answer this purported shareholder's concerns. Further efforts will be made to contact the author in order to clear up a number of inaccuracies that appear in the article.
Polo takes this opportunity to make clear that it remains a long term supportive and activist investor in all companies held within the investment portfolio and has no plans to dispose of any significant investment stake at this time.”
I’ve been in here since Onzima, before the reverse take over. I wonder if there are any others left here?! In those first few weeks I came i here to say I thought that nuvec was the most promising line as it was a proven technology and in an advanced stage of development. All the talk and excitement here was with sildenifil though. Now that is out of the way, and disappointed investors have moved on, attention is rightly focussing on nuvec and it’s potential, which seems to be attracting new long term/speculative investors at last. Strong management and a proven product with great prospects should bring in more. I for one am still confident to hold.
The selling pressure last week was brutal and reading some posts here, it was clear many panic sold. The movements over this last week just goes to show the importance of not being swayed by the hysteria. I’m about even at today’s price and was never in doubt it would return here and go north. Now we have a solid base of holders and the snowflakes have melted away, we should see strong gains reflecting the exciting potential of the company.
Yep. The BoD are doing all the right things as far as I’m concerned, that’s why I’ve been holding here since 2016. One small point though: questions are to be submitted by July 20, which is 4 days before the year’s results come out. Wouldn’t it have been better to hold the conference call after shareholders had had a chance to see the results?!
one of my investments went through a reverse take over last year (OZM to N4P). Based on that experience: GSR will not come out of suspension because the BOD are proposing that GSR no longer exist and a new company is formed with a different business model. first thing that needs to happen is an emergency general meeting to get shareholder approval for the changes. Once/if approved then GSR is effectively delisted and the new company has to reapply to join the AIM. In the case of N4P the reverse take over process took 6 months. we, the OZM shareholders. were given shares in the new company based pretty much on the valuation before suspension. after listing we saw a spike as new investors bought in, followed by a sell off. which was probably original investors getting out. Question here with GSR though is how heavily will we be down when we come back after funds are raised for the reverse take over and working capital. Im so heavily down here that i might as well support the change. cant get any worse!
