Probably 1st thing tomorrow- Following on from friday as on previous occasions and before news the price will be reduced significantly (up to 0.5p) regardless of trades with a propensity to take it a bit lower later tomorrow or maybe tuesday early. Have a strategy if this happens as the opportunity may be there to top up cheaply if you can time it right before it starts heading north the nearer we get to news. Just a thought.

Typical as indicated. Not to worry though as next week should be a cracker.
GL used to report fairly meaningful trades but they stopped doing this on the promise of better trade info but they have not done anything to improve better reporting of trades and as they are also tied up with IG relating to shorting and what with LSE misreporting trades we could smell the rat.
But manipulation apart GGP holders are on a winner long term.

They may take it down further by mid afternoon but have bargain hunters the nerve to hold off buying until then bearing in mind when it turns its likely to move fast. Alternately MMs have put the boot in, in the past, if they accumulate enough in the meantime and surprise the market by taking it lower still at the death. You pay your money and take your choice.
I know purists will say the market does not operate in this way but hey ho we are on a long term winner anyway.

May be the friday tree shake tomorrow but there will be those in the wings waiting for the bargain price before next week.

Regardless of whether drill results are tonight or next week it is always worth a quick revision read of www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news comments/views on the last Newcrest & GGP interim drill results. It will not only be the results/grades that interest but also the confirmations of expansions outwards and at depth that are likely to be an upcoming game changer towards an MRE. Through hell and high water over a few years -good and not so good but GH has been with us Pi's on the long journey. I bet he was also relieved that there have been so many exceptional posters on this board that have kept many an investor and himself comforted in this share. Where else can you see your investment physically progressing in a short time lapsed scenario on the other side of the World with lots of results etc to come. And this is only one of GGP's prospects.

Bought a smallish quantity @ 14.71 not long ago -not a serious buy to really increase my holding but just to think I can pay the ask in a rising market with confidence. Just a little foible. It helps in the long term.

Remember the spoilers may try and take back our hard won gains this week today but if they do it will start flying after the break. So be prepared as we start our significant upwards movement for the next 6 months at least.

Thanks for that, I know I am living in the past and need to update but I was pleased to hop on board GGP a few years ago and hang on grimly most of the time. If A.I. can help GGP do that for younger investors- its great.
For me GGP has dwarfed my very small lifetime savings and will increase even more in the next 3-5 years, at least, without any catastrophes which are unlikely, we hope.

Don't believe anything you are told about the honesty of the Aim market on here in relation to GGP price.
There is none- so don't try and read the market. Just wait for the next rise to put the ****es up those who are always itching to lower the bid price of GGP and this include some big broker firms.
Be warned but be prepared to take advantage when the price seems at its lowest and avoid buying into the spikes too late/or the falls too soon.

Hey Ho, Off we go. The next year or so may be phenomenal but next 6 months will be great. Patience should be rewarded.

Take a deep breath and stay put - GH may be temporary stymied re Scally and its always worrying when he goes quiet for a period but it will not last. When this turns again it may not stop on its way back up.
Beetham may buy back his sold holding ( if he times it right) at great profit. I won't say the same about GH as he would not to seek to profit unfairly at Pis expense.
They (Newcrest and others) still seek to get their hands on GGP's high grade Assets be it for as little as possible but pay-they must.

I think tonights main interpretation will be solely Havieron as far as GGP are concerned. It will be size that counts and Newcrest are now in a position to give a very rough contained estimate of the known resource to date.
Whatever that may be it could be high grade eg, 2 G/T ore 1700000 ounces or above (source Mining Maven elephant. BUT we have expanded areas and Breccia etc also to consider.
There may not be a total figure reported but the indications will be there and its likely to be huge.
This is the only important thing in relation to GGP that will be commented on tonight I think.

With the determined attempt to reduce the SP in the last24- 36hrs prior to Newcrest Annual report it seems obvious to me that some very big news is coming so be prepared for anything. Only those in the know, know, but the ship is very tight. There will not be anything from GGP in the meantime to preempt.

I wondered if after a decision to mine and what with the tolling costs etc that GGP would have to pay from its 30% or 27.5% or thereabouts whether in time the transportation/processing costs etc at Telfer would effectively and progressively reduce GGP's share (and of course increase Newcrests costs) if things became more inefficient with more effect being felt by GGP because we are smaller.
It all depends on size of Havieron etc, whether its tier 1 with good grades and sustainable good annual production levels for say at least 20 years and the assurance of good profits.
I am sure that Newcrest looked into this when deciding whether to try and extend the Telfer processing plant life and they may have a longer term plans for the future especially if other prospects in the area turn out to be very good.
I agree a new processing plant may not be essential at the current time (3 years+) but it may happen longer term if that were the case but I feel the topic indicated to Pis the strong position of GH in negotiations current and future.

We may be minnows for now but while we have control of good prospects we can push for what we want in future negotiations-more than what we have at Havieron.
GH is not going to relinquish that power easily and I think forget short term takeovers/buyouts and the like. He wants GGP to be Huge and Pi's must start thinking in those type of terms for the future.
Just my thoughts but I await with great interest the possible future developments/plans from Newcrest this week yet alone forthcoming drilling news etc.

Don't be surprised if at some stage in the not too distant future eg 3-5 years time GH and GGP may insist that Newcrest builds a modern processing plant at or in the more central region containing Havieron as part of possible future negotiations relating to other prospects that Newcrest may be interested in rather than have to rely on Telfer as an ageing satellite processing plant. It may be in both parties interest to invest the from future profits of Havieron in a project of this nature to keep processing efficient and up to date for the future especially if other prospects in the area come up trumps.
