Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Hi Everyone,
I was thought I had made a big mistake when I sold some of my existing shares and put two years worth of ISA allowances into Centamin at around the 80p level thinking it seemed a very cheap buy, seems it was, I wonder how high this will go?
I would like a better dividend, although still really pleased!
Pam
Hi Guys,
At a weekend dinner party one of he guests asked if I was still in Centamin as the company seems stuck in limbo, I asked why he thought this was, he replied that it was most likely because of the very high costs of clearing huge volumes of waste and mining generally unreliable low grades at Sukari.
He also mentioned that some are still very wary of Centamin and think that the profit share of 50% is out of date and overgenerous .
Since then I across this site-
Centamin (CEY) Risk Checks
Rewards Trading at 45.1% below our estimate of its fair value
Earnings are forecast to grow 18.58% per year
Analysts in good agreement that stock price will rise by 42.9%
Risk Analysis
Profit margins (9.5%) are lower than last year (17%)
Unstable dividend track record

I really don't know what to think?

Hi Guys.
One of my friends asked if I had looked at Centamin because they cant seem make up their minds what they have in the ground?
Oh well seems that nothing has really changed with the share price then?
Cheers for now!
Pam
Hi Guys,
Hope you are all well and had a lovely Christmas!
The guys in the bar last night reckon that that the POG is due for a decent rise in 2024, said their clients are taking long positions!
Hope this will be good for Centamin!
Happy New Year!
Pam

Gosh Steve, you must be very rich by now, you always seem to get it right!!
I asked one of the trading guys at the weekend how can people afford to buy all those bitcoins, he laughed at me and replied many of them are leveraged up to their necks on every trade and most are losers, or just dreamers, think about it if they were any good they wouldn't be on those forums talking themselves up, they'd be sailing away on their yacht's by now!
So perhaps then with all your crypto insight's you don't need to bother with Centamin shares, but perhaps you have bought big with your crypto profits?
With your success rate I wonder why you aren't running your own brokerage, or perhaps you ought to have your own youtube video show, think how many subscribers you might get?
Bye for now!
Pam
Hi,
Since buying Centamin shares I have been looking back through these pages at some of the comments and links to articles by others which I may need to be aware of and from what I can tell Cowichan has been a member for a long time and does seem to provide lots of information on things that have helped me to understand more about my investment.
From going back and looking at some of the information posted by other members it seems clear that the previous management weren't really the right people to be running Centamin as it was their fault that the open pit at Sukari nearly collapsed and this is why the share price is less than half of what it was a few years ago.
I do hope that the new management make a better job of things!
Bye
Pam
Hi, I just read this and it seems as though it's good news, but as the share price has gone down today I'm not really that sure one way or the other?
Have a lovely day!
Pam
For many investors, the main point of stock picking is to generate higher returns than the overall market. But the risk of stock picking is that you will likely buy under-performing companies. We regret to report that long term Centamin plc (LON:CEY) shareholders have had that experience, with the share price dropping 22% in three years, versus a market return of about 17%.
While the last three years has been tough for Centamin shareholders, this past week has shown signs of promise. So let's look at the longer term fundamentals and see if they've been the driver of the negative returns.

Hi Tony,
My Dad owns a recording studio and one of uncle's supplies staging services including rigging to the music industry, my other uncle is a session drummer and wife and daughters have been backing singers to some big names.
My uncle provided the set staging and sound system to one of our jobs in Milan for designer leather and plastic club wear and he chose "Polythene Pam" for the main catwalk sessions from one of his favourite albums "Abbey Road".
Bye for now!
Pam
Hi Mr Tibbles,
Love your name!
We all agree the video you posted made us really think!
In our line of business the clients sometimes tell us to keep some of the designer label fashion items because they can right them off, so sometimes after we have used or worn them a few times we like to donate them to the charities for the homeless people and animals.
Cheers for now!
Pam
Hi Ken,
Thank you for your lovely message!
Pam
Busterhogdog,
Just shown this to my friends and everyone thinks its hilarious, everyone thinks its great fun that this forum has an "Oily Old Sod!" as it's cox!
Oh dear we really haven't a clue what the "Cox" is going on about with the sticky fingers pushing buttons, sounds a bit suspect, Oh dear, but who cares because now we can't stop laughing, possibly all this frivolity has made us "Dovish" in the right direction of course
Cheers!
Bye for now!
Pam
Thank you Busterhogdog and the other members who have been so nice and explained how things work.
Until I started to look at forums to try and find out more about my investments I hadn't realised how petty and nasty to one another some of the posters can be bragging on about their trading successes and ridiculing anyone who asks questions, seems so silly!
I asked one of the guys who has a good position at a city trading desk what he thought about the behaviour of some forum members and he just laughed saying ignore the ones that brag the most they are usually just frustrated would be traders.
I shall have to go now as I have to work.
Bye for now !
Pam
One of the guys contacted me to say that a big investor Van Ecjk has just increased it's holding and this was a good sign?
I hope so,
He also said if I subscribed to Centamin website that I would get news of what's happening, I may do this.
Pam
Hello busterhogdog,I'm new to this type of forum so not really that familiar with what to do as I usually use social media to help promote my lifestyle and fashion industry related business.
I'm really glad to see though that there seems to be some friendly people on here who have tried to be helpful
Have a nice day!
Pam
Haven't got a clue what a soft landing is, but whatever it is I hope its good for Centamin!
Just had a look and saw the nice message from Dasut,
I was advised by one of the guys to open ISA each year and have put all my spare cash into them
They thought Lloyd and L&G were good to just leave in the ISA's and this year I have filled the whole ISA with Centamin & Barrick so hope the guys were right!
I was hoping for a takeover because the price could shoot up, never mind though I am in now!
Cheers!
Pam
Steve,
Its sad when you seem to be running this forum that you feel the need to be so rude to others just because they ask questions, I thought that was the reason for forums like this, although most of those I looked at seemed to have some really spiteful and sick people on them. I was told this forum was different and there were helpful people on it, doesn't seem that way at all!
Try to help and be nice to other people and you will feel much better about yourself.
Have a nice day!
Pam.
Sorry that you are going to ignore me as after I googled this site came up as somewhere to find out about Centamin and you seem to be in charge.
I shall ask the guys on Friday night if they know this site.
Pam
Asked my my friend and she said the Maserati was part of a bonus from the the guys firm, he also has use of a luxury motor launch which he sometimes has parties on, hope we can get an invite as another friend knows his fiancée !
Oh thank you for the answer Steve, how very odd when this is the UK?
My friend said the guy that mentioned the possible buy out last Friday drives a brand new bright yellow Maserati so he must be in the know!
Anyway we all hope this goes up lots very soon!
Pam
