There's the break out. Will it move back or push on ?
I'm still on the sidelines at the moment - I'll wait for the next move.
Any thoughts on where next for the SP. Need to move above that 415p for a decent upward trajectory.
Usual spike first thing and then a big retreat. Is anyone interested in this stock ?
Agreed. 15% fall seems to be the exact number these days with a bounce back later.
Thanks Kellogs - that’s the key isn’t it. Getting the timing right to jump on the back of the shorts exiting and buy orders executing. The problem is where is that level ? We’re nearly back at Feb 2003 levels now and who’s to say that will offer support ? Before that it’s about 110p in March 1999.
What’s the thought process then, Kellogs ? Just a bounce of the down trend channel ?
Well you must have deep pockets and not scared of the dreaded margin call. Good luck to you.
All quiet today, folks. Guess no-one fancies this at the moment until it makes the next move.
£15k for a 2.5% increase ? That’s some leverage right there. Not good if it goes the other way !
So how much did you make for your 2.5% increase, Mr H ? Not exactly a storming recovery today ?
Hmmm, Kellogs did say 9 out of 10 times the price will come back to fill the gap. Thought I’d missed the boat yesterday but things change quickly !! Hope Popeye got out as he bought at this price a couple of days ago and got a nice 4% gain straight away. Will it hold, decline more or bounce back is the question now. Wanted to get back in but need to see something change first. Looking forward to see Kellogs analysis of this retrace and next potential move.
Morning Chips, how are you ? GSK is looking a bit better ? I'm having a rough run at the moment with some shares and benefitting from some others. CNA and BT (now going in the right direction) are my problems unfortunately, but the recent rise of TSCO is encouraging. If Kellogs is in the North, I'd already buy him a pint. He's called this right all the way and moved my chartist knowledge up a notch or two. I really don't trade - generally monitor shares with big drops and look to benefit from a low buy in price, especially good divi payers in case they don't bounce. I got in and out well with CPI, SPI and MDC recently. Onwards and upwards !
I am/was a long term holder of CNA and seen its SP deteriate over the years. It was only the divi that kept me interested. I saw the recent SP collapse as an opportunity to average right down and was just going to sit on them, however, watching it dip again was a no-no, so I dumped the lot - possibly too late at just below 144p. I made £3k out of the recent rise, however, am still £2k down overall. I am looking for that buy in number again to hold long term but also to recoup my £2k loss quickly ! May have missed the 141p price but there will surely be another opportunity soon ? Keep those charts and analysis coming ;-)
LOL - I had my finger on the buy button at 140.8p but didn’t have Popeye’s bravery. Why do things always go the opposite way once you buy or sell stock ? ;-/
141.5p to 142p it is then !
So you’re looking at 141.5p - 142p range to buy back in ?
What’s your buy in number ?
You in here as well I see, TL. Looks like we’re both having a tough time at the moment. You’re not in BT as well are you ? I’m on a hat-trick of poorly judged shares !! I assume you’re not going to try and trade yourself out of the loss, but just sit tight and wait for the upturn in fortunes ? Onwards and upwards.
Has this board been closed down ? What happened to all the voices ?
