That’s correct you don’t need a patent to sell anything. What the patent does is prevent others from stealing your market after you’ve done all the original investment in research and trials. The patent also prevents others from taking you to court for stealing their market share on the grounds of patent infringement. A patent is needed here because ENET ‘Longest Prefix Matching’ solves a technical solution which is the abandonment of TCAM.

RNS 19/11/2025 – “The Patent covers the implementation of a highly optimized method for routing using an LPM algorithm, designed to support hundreds of thousands of routes in few clock cycles, while eliminating the need for costly external components such as TCAM (Ternary Content Addressable Memory)”

I don’t want to get too technical, but TCAM plays a major role in network computing and in particular AI computing, but it is extremely power hungry. All the major networking companies are looking to improve TCAM power efficiency or abandon it altogether.

As the ‘Long Pretext Matching’ patent was granted only in November 2025 it is impossible for you at this early stage to say it has no commercial value. To be granted a patent the invention must be novel, not easily replicated from someone with no skill in the industry and it must serve a useful purpose. The inventor must demonstrate it works. U.S Patent No. 12425341 meets these criteria.

Yes, that’s because for three years from June 2022 – November 2025 they’ve had to spin the IP story in a hundred different ways but unable to capitalise on it until the US Patent Office granted protection. The story really kicks off from now and I do appreciate that all invested from the outset and still holding have been completely wiped out. All those who have jumped on the ramping RNS statements have also been wiped out.

The patent is protected until 2043. If you have the time read what the patent is about instead of regurgitating the old ENET story that everybody is familiar with.

The IP has no commercial value if it’s not patent protected. Larger companies will not deploy the IP into their networks if every other company from the US to Indonesia can use the same IP, some at fraction of the cost. Now that the IP is patent protected it is a game changer for ENET and those companies wishing to utilise the IP. To be fair the history of ENET supports your claims. However it is important to understand early on when the landscape has changed.

HftC – You are getting your PIs mixed up. PI when used on bulletin boards is an abbreviation for Private Investor not Professional Investor. Indeed when you sign into LSE Chat sometimes a notice will come up asking you to confirm you are a Private Investor.

A Private Investor can be a billionaire, but they are not Retail Investors. When the generic term PI is used on bulletin boards what is meant is retail investors like yourself. People that are using their wages, pensions, benefits etc to invest in stocks not money from a corporate business.

This is true. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve read – “with our protected patents we are positioned for growth” only for the company to go bust a few months later. However, if you understand the technical specifics of ENET recently granted - ‘Longest Prefix Matching’ patent you will appreciate why its relevant to today’s switching networks and why over the last three years no commercial progress could be made without patent protection. Having said that, the stock is priced to go bust but this is how the AIM market works and not a reflection of a deteriorating position at ENET.

From 06/04/2026 investors can put £20k into their ISAs and place an order to buy ENET shares at 0.0028p. Investors who had used up their ISAs to yesterday could only sell other shares to purchase shares in ENET.

No. When the term PI is used it generally refers to retail investors. These investors are not professionals, have no qualifications in financial services and not affiliated to any financial companies. ENET stock has been falling since the placing partly due to MM manipulation, extracting PI money and end of year tidying up, offsetting losses against gains. As the new financial year starts next week, I expect to see an upward movement in ENET share price as investors utilise their ISA accounts. ENET finals to 31/12/2025 are due on or by 30/06/2026 where an update on the utilisation of the patent granted in November 2025 is expected if not before.

Aimg123 – The accountant on X was not a PI he was a professional investor who took part in the placing. Indeed, PIs are not permitted to take part in placings unless there is an authorised Retail Offer.

300m at £7.5k is only the sale value. If the 300m was bought at 0.005p on the recent update that’s a £15k investment, not PI money. Furthermore, I would hazard a guess that all the sells from 16:05 – 16:14 700 million are from the one source.

ISAs are not subject to CGT. So, there is only one more day left (tomorrow) for MM and professional traders to offset losses against gains for 25/26. 300 million is not a PI sale. Shareholders must hold their nerve.

On 25/03/2026 ENET announced an expansion with its Tier US Defence company,11 billion shares were traded. The markets immediately get to work to disenfranchise all those who are still holding. Hence not even a week later and the shares are trading at the same price they were before the update. Price. That’s the way the market works, nothing sinister in it all if you understand the AIM market. The markets can only hold out down here for a little while longer because they know many are crystallising losses to offset capital gains elsewhere. Come the start of the new financial year the shares will begin to rise again as investors have £20k ISAs. Contrary to what some are posting here ENET cannot do another placing unless they are being very naughty and in breach of the rules. At the recent EGM authority was granted to issue another 15 billion shares, but they are strictly for the warrant holders who took part in the two previous placings as per the RNS on 02/02/2026 and 19/02/2026. This will hit 0.005 and a lot higher if the expected semi-conductor contract news is announced. Even without that news ENET will need the price back at 0.004p to raise further finance from the warrants. Hold.
