These people seem to forget if we stop oil production in the UK we will still use the same amount of oil therefore no environmental benefit. We should be encouraging new technologies. eg Foam insulation is made MDI that comes from Benzene and Nitric Acid (amongst other things). Companies are investigating alternatives to benzene as a feedstock and this is where focus should be. In the meantime investment in the likes of UKOG should continue.

Definition of CIF - When a shipment is shipped on CIF terms the shippers/suppliers invoice(commercial invoice) includes the cost of the goods and the freight to send them to a certain destination. The shipper/supplier pays for everything up to and including the freight to a said port, with the first charges to the consignee/buyer being the terminal charges at the arrival port. This means Prem pay for all costs including insurance etc to the destination port and importation taxes are paid by the buyer and any delays by customs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Prior to Brexit DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) was common for deliveries from Europe but Brexit changed to CPT since companies in the EU did not want responsibility for customs costs and delays and change their terms.

The seven Incoterms® 2020 rules for any mode(s) of transport are:

EXW - Ex Works (insert place of delivery)

FCA - Free Carrier (Insert named place of delivery)

CPT - Carriage Paid to (insert place of destination)

CIP - Carriage and Insurance Paid To (insert place of destination)

DAP - Delivered at Place (insert named place of destination)

DPU - Delivered at Place Unloaded (insert of place of destination)

DDP - Delivered Duty Paid (Insert place of destination).

There is no doubt that Wordsmith is a burden and having seen many different companies deliver projects AAL do appear to have significantly higher standards than SXX and therefore not surprising the CAPEX demand is greater and the delivery period longer. I'm sure there has been much boardroom discussion on whether to speed up the project and get the product to market sooner or have a 'sensible' cashflow spend. If as the trials suggest Poly4 is 'excellent' this should be a money spinner and time will tell if they maintain current programme and deliver the sales and subsequent profits. My opinion, worth holding for a few years.

As you say Market does not like it. Transition and change to success takes time. I think we need to wait for 3-5 years for the plans to come to fruition.

There's a time when Boffins have their value but their blue sky thinking is no longer required as the product/company progress into a more commercial environment.

It's time for the boffins to move aside and think up the next suite of products and allow experienced professionals drive commercialisation.

Tom, I hope you are correct but we've had a number of promises which have never materialised. Academia and Research centres love the device and have written many publications to support their view, but there appears to be a blocker from extending this into wider commercial take up. It would be interesting to understand why after so much time post FDA we have limited advancement.

I know many people who've had Cancer. Some have survived and others sadly died and any device which helps treatment must be a benefit. Having been through Prostrate biopsies 3 times, one of which had a sales person in attendance I do feel the loss by these companies as a result of Parsortix is significant and until Angle 'get into bed' with a large company they will not succeed.

Jaguar - A project manager is only as good as his team. Yes they can help mould, coordinate, encourage, direct, and make valuable decisions but if the team (including key Contractors) don't have the competencies it's a different story. I've seen PM's changing key Contractors and individuals in key roles but it has an initial impact and a bold move. The Business needs two Risk Review's, a Technical and Business review to understand probabilities and consequences and then develop a mitigation plan. It does seem they are jumping from one problem to another without any structure. Its important for team honesty to ensure issues are full understood and worked through.

I wonder if this will influence the Wordsmith programme? Do they ramp up production sooner and if they do how does this affect shirty term cash flow?
