5t/hr palm oil mill is very very small giving the fact that most decent commercials are running from 30-60t/hr (the later being more in tune). I know it is a start but obviously not too much to process from other plantations???at the moment.
in my views, tech companies either take off and become an immediate trend or they don't. I have been hanging around SGO for too long to remember...it is starting to get mouldy. I thought the idea was great, as more people going entrepreunial - require building networks, but so many to choose from without the hassle.
Send me an email if you want, and this week I will try to help you out when I get the time - playonplaytime@gmail.com I consider myself knowledgeable about the palm oil industry having structured numerous BP's.
50,000 hectares by year 10, doubt it. 35,000 possibly.. Investors - recalculate on that figure. Still good, but only some of the best plantations are hitting 5000 hectares per annum in the far east
The mill is essential for any plantation over 2500 ha as it becomes at that point cost effective. So the really aspect of the mill as to date will be dependent on milling third parties around the area. Do you have those numbers in ha. As I am not invested in this share, I know of the group behind them, if you can ruster any rough figures in ha - best - phone them up. How many hectares are within 30km of you, how many mills, what is the processing speed of the mills, what is the processing speed or our mill in tons per hour. I will give you some calculations. At this price I would say hold long term. My last report ont the price of it is too high at 27.5 pence. Still stands.
Cheers, if my last post was negative, it didn't mean to be. I am in this space and watching closely.
ok
This price is still too high. It is such a long play. Needs to be three years before Palms produce 2-4 tonnes per ha, with extraction rate of 14%. Now this is in Malyasia and Indonesia. So then this company aint going to be making money until year 7. Trust me from being in the industry. Potential is fantastic because of the ponchos investing, but please think about this as a 7 year baby. You will definately make some money, but long long long term. Before that you have the political risk, then the disease risks associated to Palm oil, the management capabilities, the internal market support and infrastructure. All questions you need to be asking in this industry. Is the company using hybrid seeds etc. Also it will take a minimum of 4 years to plant 10-12,000 ha. Industry standard around 2000 per year, normally less in the first year and more as one becomes more refined but rarely over 5000 on extremely well run organisations. Palms need plenty of water on a continious basis not three months great and the rest without, what is the drainage and soil like in this area, has this been published, these factors play hugely on the end production. Fertiliser costs going up and I believe that Liberia does not have the soils that perhaps some other countries possess, Colombia, Indonesia, Malyasia, Thailand. Anyway I am keeping my eye on this but too many shares taking off before this baby
So many Green tech companies around, very few making any money. I have been eyeing this stock for a while and although impressed with the mgt team, feel that one thing is deliving on Coal, another on getting the main governments to adopt an idea of going geothermal and making it happen. Long term could be a winner but risky...until real news comes out. As for Biofuels, there are much better places to do this than Australia.
sorry guys, may sound stupid here, certainly lazy, but would like to know what Wasabi really has in their bag or is likely to have for 2011. Kindest if anyone can be bothered to answer.
40 firms in Colombia have just won oil rights, not sure if Petrolatina is one of them, but will find out hopefully soon enough which companies have. I have no cash in these shares, do know people who have, so have no opinion, just that I am in this part of the world. Therefore no opinion.
