Forget Antigen tests the company game changer is still the Antibody test. It has been designed in tandem with Oxford university to detect the Antibody produced by the vaccine Just think how many orders world wide if the Oxford vaccine gets the nod. Also don't forget the Consortium have also just launched their own Twitter feed , so I say let's get ready to rumble .... but not quite yet :-)

The sensitivity is between 80 and 90% . To put that into perspective 100,000 to 200,000 tests in a million may be incorrect.

The big bucks is the Antibody Test. The collaboration with Oxford University had a key aim of producing a test is to find the Antibody produced by the Oxford vaccine. If the Oxford vaccine is a success it will blast the consortium into orbit. I think the Antigen test is a non starter in this country because of political malpractice but it will be lucrative elsewhere .

Thanks Safy , I have confidence in ODX but the more I read about tendering or lack of it the more I worry that the govt and its financial backers are the biggest threat to ODX making a commercial breakthrough. I hope to be proved wrong.

How did they get the product to market so soon and why stifle the urgent need for tests through endless amounts of red tape now. This govt are a disgrace and yet the sheep will still vote for them knowing that they have our best interests at heart not the pockets of the wealthy. Sorry but we are hurtling into a disaster with an eejit at the helm . It's like a real life Blackadder.

Yep links to Antibody test is on the App but limited to certain occupations eg NHS. It says this is the start of the UK's Antibody testing programme, stocks are limited and so tests have to be prioritised.
