@jimbo, haha I think share trading is the only place where being positive is seen as a nefarious activity, the choice was yours, if you put in proper due diligence then you should stay strong. You know I was invested when it was Epistem, share price is down from all those years ago despite the gains in 2020, so selling now makes no sense

im sure your broker account will provide you with an annual statement, showing the amount of profit (or CGT), mine does, just download it when you do your self assessment

its very easy for them to track if you already do a self assessment every year I imagine, their databases cross reference, I imagine that your broker has to register who they make payments in some way, these details are held, so they can just see if you have registered the payment on your self assessment. Whether this happens an accountant could say, but it would be easy for them to check?
