Doesn’t even need to be a big pocket at this stage!! That would open the gates to perhaps plans for a deeper drill next time. Exciting stuff and a much better feeling going into this weekend than last!!

@glib- agreed. The one glaring ‘gap’ from the first drill results was actual hard data. So any measured %’s etc will certainly help and even if no ‘discovery’ the data will (hopefully) give real evidence to back up the ‘working helium system’ claims- and the ‘all we’ve got to do is find where the gas is stored’. It’s like we’ve found the shopping mall, now where’s the LaCoste shop!!!!

Good RNS and quicker than I imagined. I hope confidence is high. Just one question for those more knowledgeable than me - from the RNS ‘ s. The drilling at Tai-2 will test one of several targets highlighted for additional exploration following positive results from Tai-1.’ why only 1 target?? I realise that the very deep ‘hope’ is beyond the rigs safe capacity however they announce 5 shows in Tai 1 and several at shallow depths.

Great discussion folks. I think all we need to know is that there is a reasoned plan. It is clear that ‘everyone’ expected success with Tai-1. All the lead up was very positive. What I’m concerned about is the lack of actual data from that drill. Only mentions of ‘increasing levels’ etc - other than the initial ‘2.2% show at 70m’- but that with in-calibrated kit.
So- if we believe the project, the next communicated steps need to be backed up with data.
If it’s ‘re drill T1’ then give us a bit of data . If it’s move to x y z then justify it with something like ‘2d shows shallow reservoirs so we will test those’.
I am in no rush (too deep for that and the mortgage is already paid off :-)) ….. this is an interesting journey all I need is the CEO we have bought into to now review, make clear decisions and communicate them- and then crack on McDuff.

Yes SpaceyT- trying to stay positive today and hope that DM can review (with the team) and communicate the plan. I like the proposal for exploring a few of the shallow targets (which were positively discussed in the early RNS’s), get them properly tested and announced. Perhaps that’s too simplistic but it would give the project credibility in a short time frame and then build the confidence/actually de-risk (rather than hypothetical de-risk) and all within budget.
My concern is that since the early 2% He in the mud we have had zero data - only the mention of shows, increased levels etc…. No numbers and I find that very strange.
Anyway - taking the hit (on paper) and won’t leave until the rest of the drills are completed.

I do hope you are right. Many are hurting now (me too) and looking at the ‘information’ we’ve been fed recently- which doesn’t reflect the RNS in all honesty. So- thinking medium term- let’s hear an objective plan with costings and learnings and build a slightly more positive vibe :-)

Thanks BP…. A large % of the LTH’s are in very red today .. and hurting . I am very disappointed with the He1 response considering the time to prepare the cack RNS and also the seemingly lack of planning to alleviate the understandable concerns of the shareholders. The last month of Twits, interviews and documented comments from DM could (and maybe should) be analysed as being purposely misleading. Only last Friday talk of aligning potential buyers of He is particularly gauling….. so as PI’s we are the gullible but very hopeful minions. We’re in ‘cos we have such a big investment (our choice) … but I do look back at the comms from DM and am really questioning how he could be so bullish. Might just be ‘bitter’ me now but if we’d had honest reports of the drill progress I’m sure the reaction today would be reflective as opposed to reactive. So next step…. Over to you D(ick) T(urpin) Minchin because your chat with Katie today was nothing to inspire anyone .
I could have taken the news in context- had the comms from He1 been accurate . I’ll ask you all -‘have the recent comments been misleading??
So another 3 years of work now to pay off the debt!!! My fault entirely but I thought I was a good judge of character.

Yep very clear! Gutted today and the follow up is pretty shocking - no plan - no direction?? And I lost 20-21 @ cgb tonight and that hurts more than today’s blx. In DM we semi trust !!’

Doesn’t ‘saturated with helium’ mean anything ?? I know the overall news is cack but if that He% was high doesn’t it mean there’s loads there??

Not the best morning but we knew the risks. Hopefully DM and team have learnt a lot- gutted they could not analyse the deeper prospects. Sure there will be interviews today -
So sit and wait. Interesting to know the plans now. Deep investment here and will likely look red today but the fundamentals are still very strong.

Thanks SpaceyT. I read this over the weekend - very positive. Surprised at the number of ‘players’ in this field. Hoping that TZN reserves can really shake the market and we can all be part of that. Exciting times and indeed the waiting (for news) is hard but when has anything of such importance come easy to anyone??

I am surprised (and pleased) that the sp is holding and even seems quite robust. The sentiment that the majority of PI’s are firmly invested in the fundamentals seems to be proven - just hope the news comes before the fragility outweighs the potential!!

As mentioned last week- most of the folks here are (semi) happy to wait for THE news. Would be nice to have an update though and DM usually responds as I feel he is understanding of the situation for most PI’s. Also remember that historically slow drillsare more likely to be successful and indeed this first drill was not only about finding the parentload but also about learning and understanding the stratigraphy of this ‘never been drilled before’ region. With hindsight the proposed drilling schedule was crazy so perhaps - when we get the next big communication He1 can update that schedule and plan. This is exploration (still) and situations do change, decisions have to be made etc.
Stay strong folks - and as some have said, this type of investment is not for everyone.

Yes the Monday morning RNS syndrome is wearing a bit thin but we live in hope!! Got to be some ‘official’ news soon rather than Twits or ‘random’ magazine/web articles!!! When the news flows (if positive) then it’s gonna fly!! Enjoy work …… hope the Cov hol fortnight was good for ya mate!!
