If you would like to ask our webinar guest speakers from WS Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund a question please submit them here.
Carbonix, Well Spotted, It would seem that in Africa numbers are not sequential, the first page is number 1 and the last page is 48 per the index. Either there has been a pagination error or changes were made during the make up of the articles and the index and page numbers not altered. Big Mistake for issue 2 for a new publisher. Need to do Better.
you can see it here, 40 Pages but no news we did not know. http://mikatekomedia.co.za/wp-content/pageflip/index.html?catalog=Places-Aug-Sep-2017
I do not thing it is unreasonable to expect our Aug-Sept flight magazine to be linked by now to the dedicated link on the front page. Someone should have the responsibility to have this done in a timely fashion to demonstrate overall efficiency.
Now a Blog on our new magazine with a front cover and editorial, but yet again not got the link on the front page to link to the Current August edition, still linking to the June/July version. WE must be able to get to the point that it goes live on the 1st of the Month to which it covers. Not Difficult.
http://www.adweek.com/brand-marketing/tanzania-fastjet-places-magazine/
now available on Aircraft, front page picture only on Twitter and Facebook. Website still links to first edition of Places. Have not been able to trace full copy to read yet and can only trace 1st edition on the publishers website. If anyone else can find then please send a link
I would like to think that Nico expects things to be moving so fast that we have changed to a 2 monthly cycle on the in flight magazine to keep pace with changes to our operation and not waste the marketing opportunity !
Hurrah at last, after 2 messages on this BB and a further Email direct to Fastjet and at last they have now the correct front page link to our flight Mag Places.
Marksman, Thanks for the mention, it is the cumulative effort of us all that makes the total result greater than the sum of the individual contributions. You and many others included.
What Seems great and smart about that is that on the days we already operate, there would be no extra Landing/Takeoff or staff costs as we have those anyway, just more fare paying passengers, and if picks up from there we have 3 extra days we can add and maybe in time go daily.
Hi G-BOAE there are several Stalwarts including me around, several comment regularly, some occasionally and some just observe without comment. Hopefully we shall hear more from them now that a plan is in action. Hi Betterthanwork, I am afraid that Nuri is still lurking in the background with his doom and gloom predictions at the ready to use at a milliseconds notice should a negative item appear. He does not generally appear or comment when there is good or neutral news, but he is still watching and waiting to pounce.
Thanks Rufiji for your local insight into the Wider issues that were not so prevalent in the West during the times that Governments interfered with Airlines.
When will African Airlines not look to the West and Learn why Western Countries do not get involved in running Airlines for very many years now. Western Countries found it was a bottomless money pit that always loses money until professionals get involved with a free hand. Guess what happens then, instead of pouring billions into Airlines the Governments then start collecting Corporation taxes From them. It is not rocket science, if you keep doing the same thing, you should not expect different results. I am not sure if African Leaders see it as National Pride or if instead they might want to commandeer an Aircraft for State or Personal use using the Government Support as Leverage. Look to the West and let Private Enterprise create transport for everyone, and let Private Airlines drive down costs and prices with a level playing field.
Thanks Fjetcrazy
Why can I never trace Flights from HRE to VFA on flight Radar 24 ZS-BBM only shows 6 flights per day which would only cover the HRE-JNB flights, why are the HRE-VFA not showing or is it a different aircraft ?
Fjetcrazy, No One is saying that the Places Magazine is not able to be viewed online for someone in the know who happens to know that if they go far enough in the blogs it can be found. What we are saying is that for nearly 5 years you have been able to access the magazine from the home page at the bottom in a dedicated hotlink. That Hotlink still is there erroneously displaying a non functioning link to a former magazine. If you are just a regular customer and not Fastjet Geeks like us, and you logged on for the first time, you would probably not go further than clicking on the erroneous link and give up think we no longer had that availability. I extremely doubt that they would suddenly think to themselves, Oh I know what I will do, I will log onto the Blog area and see if there is a link to the magazine that does not work on the dedicated area. I Think Not.
It is not a big job to edit the front page which still has a dead link to the old Travelsmart magazine, and make it read Places Magazine and divert it to that from the front page. People will not remember to go to the blog and scroll down to view it from there. This would only take minutes for someone with access to the program.
Thanks for that FJetcrazy, do we know if it is just regular maintenance of BBH prior to the surge in flights from the end of this month when we will be operating 2 aircraft presumably BBH and BBD which hopefully will both have a parrot on the tailplane.. Happy Birthday Marksman from me too.
In Zimbabwe for the last few days, does anyone know ?
flights today as it did not seem to be either BBH or the borrowed DFC ?
