Hi, nice to see another SUN fan. Can I ask, are you long on these or planning to bale soon? I don't have much of a strategy and would like to think I could resist even at 6.5. 10p is my target - how realistic that is I don't know but I would wait 2 years to get there.

Surgical Innovations Group plc (AIM:SUN), the designer and manufacturer of innovative medical devices, advises that it will be announcing its Interim Results for the six months ended 30 June 2010 on Tuesday, 14 September 2010.

Trading Update: As reported in our AGM statement in May 2010, the early part of 2010 retained the challenges of the previous two years as well as the uncertainty of the general election. Our healthcare business, whilst remaining fundamentally profitable, has experienced a considerable slowdown which has continued through the summer months. Also our media planning and buying businesses have continued to be impacted by campaign delays. Activity in the property sector still remains at a low level. As a result, our cost cutting programme continues. The technology and telecoms division, which was expanded by the addition of bChannels in February 2010, has enjoyed a strong first half year, primarily due to the expanded services offering and the sharing of clients. Whilst the Board expects the Group to recover some of the lost revenue in the second half of 2010, the Board currently expects the profit before tax, excluding exceptional items, of the Group for the full year to be up to 50% below market expectations. Bit of a sucker punch then. So any thoughts on selling /holding /topping up?

Just bought in because looks like a fairlt innocuous profit warning regarding devaluation of Euro. Surely the SP will recover next week?!

Surgical Innovations Group plc (AIM: SUN), the designer and manufacturer of innovative medical devices, is pleased to announce a five year worldwide contract with Teleflex Medical ("Teleflex"), the designer, manufacturer and distributor of medical devices for critical care and surgical applications. The substantial contract is for the production of articulating handles with bespoke laparoscopic instrumentation. Building upon a previous relationship, Teleflex approached SI to develop new handle technology. The articulating reusable handles have been under development by Teleflex and SI for two years and the unique, flexible nature improves the ergonomics and ease of use for surgeons performing keyhole surgery. SI retains the full intellectual property rights for the devices, subject to the rights of Teleflex to utilise the IP in the sale of the devices pursuant to the Supply Agreement. The initial roll out of the technology will be throughout Europe with the potential for expansion into the US. Commenting on the agreement, Graham Bowland, Chief Executive Officer of SI, said: "This order represents an important milestone for our OEM business. We have been working successfully with Teleflex for more than 10 years and we are delighted to continue this successful relationship. Our in-house design, prototype and manufacturing facilities allow us to develop new and improved technologies which can be used by Teleflex to provide their surgeons with an innovative, cost effective laparoscopic device. The RNS is sort of gloomy with some positives - no profit warning so far! Ex-div on 26th May so expect another 1/2p shaved off then.

Trading to date has been generally in line with the Board's expectations. Our healthcare business continues to perform well, but there is some evidence of a slowdown affecting this sector. The technology and telecoms market has improved somewhat and visibility for 2010 is now stronger than at this time last year. The addition of bChannels to the Group in February 2010 has not only supplemented the Group's revenues, but also broadened our existing technology activity via Second2. Our media planning and buying businesses remain profitable, but activity levels have been impacted by the election, triggering some delays. Activity in the property sector remains at a low level. The commercial property market is demonstrating some evidence of recovery and the residential market is still principally supported by recession resistant areas, such as registered social housing, but there are signs that some developers are now re- entering the market. The Board is actively considering several opportunities which would support the programme of growth. The economic and political climate will ensure that 2010 remains challenging. We believe that the Group remains well placed to continue to trade profitably and to take advantage of the opportunities that will be created."

I've held these 1 year now and they have very stable in choppy waters! I doubled my holding today with positive results out (I hope) next month we should see a sustained rise. 20p target this time next year?
