A problem being if the US turns on the fracking it can bring the price back down again and it is unprofitable. Unlikely with Biden there maybe. In this small, crowded, heritage country we should not have pursued onshore fracking and just concentrated on having a reliable supply from offshore I think while looking strongly at wind/hydrogen/other. Being a cold country it's a priority. It does make sense for our pensioners to move to Spain really all other things disregarded - and refugees to stay in Asia/Africa. Everybody is right on energy in a way but there is a geopolitical equation that's very hard to solve. It could be argued fuel should be expensive but it makes business uncompetitive if not universal. We still need chemical feedstocks always too.
Well done to the mgt here anyway for making bold moves and pay dividends - no mean feat. Sadly I bought at 50p and was my first/last dabble into this sector did not end well but an education on when to see if dusters are being reported as hits. Also lots of discoveries in the North Sea not been touched in 20 years or so. Also tried Serinus Energy when it was 10x the price in Poland but got tired waiting to see if they would meet in the middle with no good news seeming to shift it.
