Well I already spoke to Shard Capital about some concerns as they are connected to Jubilee Metals. I am being deliberately vague. But I will speak via Jubilee Metals "to" Colin if I have to, but I am not pushy just interested and a shareholder. I know my place but I've also spoken to Joel in the past. I always respect the need to avoid insider trading. But yes we can ask questions. Am about to do my first call of the day.
That would be fraud. Seriously if you have concerns like that, unless you are deliberately trying to get the SP down so you can buy in even cheaper, you should email and telephone the company as is your right as a shareholder. I always encourage this as it doesn't do any harm to remind that shareholders are there. IMO CB is chafing at the bit to prove his attitude towards shareholders and I really am expecting the mine to start to deliver and then some. I have topped up and expect a bounce but will stay in until we get to the next phase and then will consider my position.
Thanks ghostwriter just be careful not to put words in people's mouths because you think you have heard a stereotypical theory. But I am very happy for you to be informative as that is why I come on this forum ;)
I don't think that CB is stupid enough to back himself into a corner. He needs to stick with his strategy in this scenario and all will come good. It is fine to stick your neck out (whether you are CB or bearish about XTR) however I hope you have the integrity to eat your hat when you are wrong.
Ghostwriter. Blaming MMs is actually an important component of the market. If you go into a fruit market and the seller of bananas who is both the market maker and company wants to sell bananas for 1 you don't have to accept that this is the price set by supply and demand. What would you do? Personally I would have a quite chat with him as the market maker and let him know that I know what he is up to and see if he wants to sell me a banana at a fairer rate.
Sorry to hear that SnakesLadders and am not surprised at your negative sentiment. But IMHO you SHOULD be laying that blame at the door of the previous CEO not to mention his name. I do believe that CB really does want to make things right with you. I became interested in the share at the Manica turnaround. Anyway I think something rare is about to happen. A positive RNS that causes an SP rise on AIM!!! IMO DYOR, would be glad to let you have the last word but what we both anticipate is a sharp upward correction. Personally I am holding until the new opportunity peak which comes after the "Manica proves that XTR is now a profitable forward moving growth stock etc etc". Then I will reconsider my position depending on how good that new opportunity is, whether it be deep mining Manica or now low risk high return in neighbouring Zimbabwe or new opportunities due to CB's STRENGTH which is that he is a networker.
No it is the market makers and their algorithms driving it down. It is a classic down slope that they might be able to guide which shakes off pretty much every pattern spotting method, acts as a tree shake, and actually it is a preemptive move before an upward correction. CB is not perfect but he is more available that a lot of CEOs so why let the market makers get away with it toooo much!!! I want to hear some more "hey you could be a deramper" and "what are the MMs up to look at the low volumes look at the overreaction look at the fact that the SP SHOULD have gone up" etc etc.
Again saying that CB is being economical with the truth is too harsh. He is the CEO of the company, which means that his time-frame is about the long term. There are lots of companies giving less info over long time-scales and it doesn't matter, and there is no company on AIM that doesn't experience market maker led tree shakes. This is an overreaction.
Littlewing thank you but if you like the inherent value is something that is the long term factor in obtaining what it should cost and is something of a factor in your instantaneous valuation model. The normal discussion about value and cost is that cost is about monetary value whereas value is a more inherent and also holistic understanding of what something is really worth. Such an approach is valuable to long term investment decisions, whether by an investor or by a company obtaining assets for income and growth. In a sense this is why insider trading is illegal since the insider is in a better position to understand the true value of a company and therefore at some point the long term trend in the SP.
