Hardly surprising given that 86% of revenue came from covid last year. Covid testing is dead and so that leaves a huge, huge hole in our revenue. Talk of a 50% drop year on year doesn’t sound horrendous but how do we know it will be limited to that? It could drop by 75% for all we know. Perhaps the market is factoring in a huge, huge drop in cash at the year end. Just speculating but the market knows more than us
And there has to be a reason the marcap is only a bit above cash.

All well and good moniman but can many of us stomach it going to £1 and lower? At some point a line must be drawn.

Don’t worry, we’ll soon have the usual suspects rolling out the “just mm’s playing games”, “can’t go below cash” etc etc., like they did all the way to £2.20 (remember it was inconceivable it would go below that level yet now that would be like a lottery win).

Can 2020 really be used for future prospects though? For covid test firms it was an utterly freak year which will never happen again. We were rewarded with a SP rise to circa £12 but now we’re some 88% down on that high, reflecting where the market sees us. It was a great year but is history and the market clearly has zero faith in us maintaining decent profits and presumably thinks we’ll soon be needing the cash to pay the bills, ie. return to being loss making. Who knows, or even cares any more, if the market is correct but we can’t continually hark back to 2020. It is hard, especially for many of us, as we have lost so much in not very long but we need to be realistic.

I did read it but didn’t take much notice. Covid revenue is dwindling and the world is moving on. Economies have spent a fortune on covid and are done with it.

Sorry for your losses. Let’s hope we can sell a load of non covid products in 2023. I’m not selling now so it’ll either dwindle to a penny stock or I’ll eventually recoup some losses in the next few years.

So we’re now back to where we were last week before the 24% pump. Can anyone make head or tail of this stock? What is actually going on? Is it purely a traders share now?

Latin - absolutely, they’ll churn out the cheapest possible ****. We’ve become accustomed to the Chinese crap from the government so will probably just continue with that.

Gizmo- fair point but what are they scared of? If they’re million jabbed etc then the risk is so minimal it’s not even worth worrying about. Genuinely think the vast majority will just move on now - there’ll be no testing and case numbers etc., people continue living their lives and so will have no need to splurge £17 on a few tests, especially when not ill. The daily testing etc must have been a phenomenon off the back of omicron, leading up to Xmas etc. We got through that with no problem so one would expect people to not want or need to stick a swab up their nose every day. Have a sniffle? Do what they’d do before covid, blow nose, take it easy for a few days and move on.

Wilson good point, which is positive. Main part of my post though was the disbelief around testing costs. People aren’t paying that, not a chance. Makes sense as we don’t test for flu etc., if we’re ill we stay in until we are well. Hate to agree with the gov, but it makes sense really.

Who in gods name would pay £17 for 4 lft’s when everyone has been used to getting 7 for free the very next day, pretty much as many times as they need? If there was ever a need for a post covid strategy, it’s now and, you know what, that’s fine as it was never going to last forever. You see what has happened to odx and sng- basically back to post covid. At least we have cash to diversify so hoping not to go down that route.

£6 would be an absolute dream and I imagine most of us would happily sell and run for the hills if we achieve that!!

Oh dear, fingers crossed for something tomorrow. I only come here nowadays at 4.15 in the hope of a holding update!

Share price x number of shares in issue = marcap

Well it’s tanked a fair bit since, in 3 days. Feels pumpy and dumpy. Although it’s just the nature of AIM, high highs and low lows. The correct outcome was probably 6-7% rise and that’s what we’ve got, roughly, but just through a massive rise and then a couple of hefty red days.

Talk about a pump and dump this week. Fair play to anyone who times the next one.
