Val at the moment it is likely the uncertainly around the future. The invasion of Ukraine took it to ridiculous lows so it had to come up a bit from that, add on the bio buying (they seem to have settled for what they have now) and director purchases and we’re at a more sensible level. 45-55m above cash isn’t bad given that the market has no idea what the future looks like. We all know the new products In q4 won’t happen so there’ll be no revenues there, therefore presumably there’s a huge nervousness about the next update. We got slammed for a poor 2021 out turn and now we’re probably at fair value for some covid sales and a few other bits. At the moment all we know is 2022 revenues will be massively lower than 2021 so maybe 155m marcap is very good. As someone else said recently, we’re doing **** all with the cash so it’s just sitting there being battered by inflation, so even that asset is diminishing.

Hopefully April’s update will be positive but unless we can report a bumper Q1 from omicron I can’t see much other than sub £2.

I’ve said it for many, many months and have generally been bashed for it.

Anyone concerned that the ‘new products in q4’ will be delayed? Feels inevitable but hopefully any Q1 gains from omicron will offset this.

Switch it off, ValJu. Until we get some proper news it’s just a trading share with spikes and then inevitable drops, as we are seeing now. Good feeling from the director buy, tr1’s now the profit taking and walking the SP down now that Bio appear to have backed off. It’s **** but it’s a lot better than it was a fortnight ago.

Switch off Twitter for such things, bad times being the derampers and better times bring out the rampers. Grimly predictable.

Spot on, HarChris. We were fine, omicron came and they tried to scare us and it turns out to be a cold. It’s over now here. SD is completely finished and mask wearing, from my observation, is now 10% at best. There’s nothing to worry about, it’s been two years now and it’s over.

HarChris - why on earth would I want to throw more money at this? Other than the first couple of entries I’ve called this wrong every time, I won’t be chucking anything more at it. I have no trust whatsoever in the board so feel that anything they’re doing is likely to line their own pockets. You could ask why don’t I sell then? Simply because so much as been lost the little capital I have left here isn’t worth cashing in, just in the faint hope that something good will happen. Slightly irrational and illogical but it’s just a punt, a bet now. Fortunately all my investments in funds have performed well so it takes away a bit of the pain (not much). I blew my chance to sell when I could have broken even in November. My fault entirely. But I still don’t trust that anything genuine is happening here.

Dinglewolf it’s just experience and reality with this share. Everyone here popped champagne after the first couple of tr1’s and subsequent pump and dumps, then we went back to much lower than before that. I expect it to happen again but would love to be proved wrong all the way to £4 at which point I’ll be at least 50% out of this hell (fwiw I don’t for a moment think it’ll get there especially if there’s a lowball takeover).

Let’s not get carried away. Remember one of the other TR1’s resulted in a circa 24% spike that day then it didn’t take long to be below that price. Nothing surprises me with this stock, probably end the day flat or, in classic ncyt style, 0.5% red.
