Really good read Winstanley. Thumbs up. While much of the narrative is already well known it's always good to have a reminder. While RR are leading the way in terms of low carbon technologies particularly with their target of producing all engines that can run off Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) I'm unsure how the cost compares against traditional fossil fuels? I think I read somewhere it was 25% but can anyone confirm? Fuel as we know is such a huge cost to airlines and any saving here along with reducing their own carbon footprint will surely be a winner. These are all the reasons why RR looks a great longer term investor play. Notwithstanding of course, this technology is already here.

While I haven't based any of my 3 investment tranches on any SMR future profit speculation, it is, nonetheless a potential pipeline opportunity. Or is it? I don't know so I'm trying to find out. To ghis end, I have, this morning, written an email to Dan Gould, Head of Communications at Rolls Royce SMR. I have asked him if he could possibly clarify, in layman's terms, the relationship between RR LTD & RR SMR LTD with particular emphasis on whether or not there is any future potential benefit for RR Ordinary shareholders. I think that's the gist of what we're trying to get to the bottom of. If I receive a response I will gladly share on this board. Fingers crossed Dan will be able to address for us.

Yes, it is unfortunately. Any monies put into the stock market is subject to risk. Where any type of risk is involved means those monies are being gambled. There are different levels of risk though when it comes to financial instruments etc. but broadly speaking the shorter the time frame, the most risk incurred while longer term, less risk. Like the old adage says, it's not about timing the markets, it's about time in the markets. I never go short term as I would invariably lose!

It's possible then that China could be in a right ol mess then... worse than anyone over here thought? There's an old Chinese proverb that says, "one man's meat is another man's poison ". How true.

China... Will the penny ever drop that they've handled covid very badly by way of continuous stop start lockdowns? Can't they see we're not in a continuous lockdown mode? Hopefully, China will open their gates fully and without restriction soon. That really would boost the SP.

Looks like we've started the new week badly. In the red with another 1.5% (paper) loss as we speak. The FLRAA decision is imminent and I'm now wondering wether the MM's are in the know and they're forcing the SP downward so their clients can buy in at the cheapest possible price or indeed and conversely, they don't think we've secured any new business from this important pipeline opportunity and that'swhy it's falling? It could be totally unrelated of course. Time will tell.

Likewise, really appreciate your response to onthecoast. Just reviewed the link you have kindly provided and clearly a dividend payment has been forecast for 2023 & 2024. Brilliant. It demonstrates just how far RR can go with the right management behind it and an improving economic story. Really appreciate your rationale for the SP drop from £1.50 to current price as well. Your post & links have only served to underline my own optimism for the future of this great British engineering company. Thank you.
