Well, it's fair to say I've had better day dealing shares.....

I can't even get a quote to sell 10 shares this morning. Anybody awake and can see what is happening?

I've just got home and read the RNS for myself. As I mentioned in my last post, I had a seed of doubt as I couldn't see the RNS on my phone and didn't understand all that was being discussed. Now I have read the RNS from TXP I am happy. If I understand the situation correctly, we don't directly use the refinery and our crude oil sales contract with Petrotrin are not affected (currently). We shall see soon enough if those contracts will be renegotiated in due course? I suppose that Petrotrin will want some sort of contribution per barrel from the companies they will be exporting oil for?

Lottery numbers this week FatCat. 7,9,12,22,28,34. I don’t play it but I will have to this week now because if those numbers come up and I don’t play.....I don’t want to think about it. A mate of my brothers won €109M a few years back!! Can you imagine!! Anyway, back to the real world. I have to admit that I know nothing of this business with Petrotrin and my lack of knowledge is putting the very first seed of doubt in my mind. I was hoping the Malcy would have addressed this issue today but he hasn’t. I know folks here are thinking it ‘could’ be beneficial but I’m waiting for somebody from the ‘other side of posting’ to come up with an alternative view. Just so I can think about things from both sides.

I honestly thought the MM’s would play their games today and use this news to hammer us. Not because TXP would deserve such treatment, just because MM’s like to play those games with news and let’s face it, this is fairly big news. Happy that we are not taking a hammering. TXP.....best share on the market in my opinion.

So then....the end of August is almost here and unfortunately it looks like I am going to be the winner of the ‘End of August Mid-Price Prediction’ competition (with my original prediction). What a pain. On this occasion I wish that I was wrong. Come TXP make me eat my words and allow me to be wrong!! An RNS this week, with an update on wells and production would be brilliant. Guessing this isn’t going to happen just now though. Ol well....who’s for an End of Year Mid-Price Prediction Competition? I am going to say 24p.

How so FatCat? Why could it lead to lower oil taxes? I'm not challenging you with this question, I just don't understand and would like to.

I am clueless on what is happeing here so please forgive my ignorance. I assume that if we are going to have to export our oil to be refined, then that process would presumably would hit the bottom line of our net per barrel. Am I correct?

Is that what is happening for sure? That the refinery is closing? Is there only one on the island?
Also, is thedy set a time for the refinery to close?

Apart from the 3D report, how do they estimate how much oil is at a drill head? For instance, the drill head went into the side track at Verbier and JOG and its partners then say there are 25million barrels at the well head location, how do they know that?

I assume the 3D report will be firming up what is under the sea at Verbier, I'm just interested in how the well head poking into the oil allows the people at the top to know the volume is down there now? By the way, I''m not questioning the 25million, I am just curious as to how the industry works....

Blimey, by Q1 next year, with all the wells from this year added and running, things are going to be schweeet!! Then add in the Q2 2019 Ortoire fun and games and this is going to be very very....wait for it.....nice......

Yesterday I couldn't sell anything over 100 shares on muliple dummy sells but this morning they want my whole investment. That's a bit better....they aren't having any though.

Interesting how many times a good RNS is rewarded with a drop in SP by the market. Ol well, all part of that 'journey' we are all on. Still a happy holder......
