Gil saying he'd buy doesn't exactly fill me with confidence. His last purchase the other week at 148p propped up the flailing SP for a bit, but it doesn't look so clever now. Anyone who followed him or the other director purchase will be sat on a humongous loss. What was it that Gil said about the shares being undervalued 10 or 15% a few weeks back and that they would climb?

And why was Gil mouthing off in that post Joe interview that the CPR was only 4-6 weeks or so away. That time's come and gone and now we're left hanging with this turd of an announcement with the CPR can kicked right down the road ahead of our 'likely' 2020 drilling campaign. It's really irritating. Gil's definitely on the naughty step for me now. Holzman Harvester needs to go in for a service.

Given CGX has been on a tear thanks to Joe straddling their Demerara licence I imagine they will get really hammered today especially as their block lies to the north of Orinduik and hence further from the currently know Guyana sweet spots.

Edwina, it changes from minute to minute. I couldn't get a quote to sell even 10K shares. Quote to buy 100K, no problem. First time Barclays have quoted to sell me more than 25K shares in a very long time.

Malcy was super positive on CAZA if I remember correctly. SP was utterly decimated. I always take him with a wheelbarrow of salt.

If Carapa is good though they may focus on the Kanaku block, so not a given.

Is it an overreaction? Gil has pumped this big time and we were expecting nothing but the very best and this is clearly very bad news. In his Africa interview Gil stated that after the Carapa result (which is about 2 weeks away) they will anlyse all 3 well results together with the 3D and reprocess it all and then decide the 2020 drilling campaign. He also stated that the CPR is 'not is the far future', possibly in a month or two. I would expect maybe 2 months for the reprocessing and CPR after that so perhaps early Feb for the CPR. The drilling plans will likely be revealed after that and with a three month lead time that would put us at May for drilling although in today's RNS ECO now describes 2020 drilling as 'likely'. Not definite then. That's a long time to wait even for the CPR especially with what was fairytale sentiment now well any truly soured. Given the very high expectations here a lot of investors will be well and truly out over their skis and this will not help the SP. Seriously GLATH.

No quite Riptonk, one day we'll both be right and it will rip higher. It's coming, just not sure if it's now from this level or later from a lower level. Trading this last few weeks has been a little odd. Plenty of selling into any rise and big dumping again today with some folks happy to step in below 130p again. Ultimately move will be up, but not sure where we go next. GLA

Bit off a battle going on this morning. Getting dizzy.

25K Boy going against the grain again. Rallies have been getting more and more tenous here the last month and SP feels like it wants to drop further for now so not sure why they are so desperate to rush back in on the first sign of a dip. That 131p buy is already 3p underwater after just 4 minutes.

Also given the date of the presentation is end November the speculation would be that any placing was after that, so it's highly likely the next catalysts, closing of farmout and completion of permitting would occur before any placing. Big gamble staying out ahead of that on the off chance we get a tiny supplementary placing especially as drilling would only be a few weeks away by then. I'm staying put and will top up if an opportunity arises. Missing out on chance of 100% upside just to avoid potential risk of short term 10% downside seems wreckless.
