I quite agree. I mentioned ORR for the irony only. Crazy to SHG is at this price when gold is now only 0.05% below it's all time high in Sterling. Good chance that level will breached any minute. GLA

Should have know better and bought an early stage explorer like ORR, up 20% so far today. LOL

Looking at the spread between AISC and spot gold price and then looking at production v market cap, takeover was my guess too. Just keep adding on any dips is probably the best idea here.

I think one problem with LSE listed gold juniors its that almost none of them are constituent members of the gold mining ETF's such as GDX, GDXJ and Sprott. When the money pours into the sector it seems to primarily go to those funds and big cap miners and LSE listed producers barely get a look in. Consequenty their shares underperform and then people assume there must be something wrong so don't buy, which creates a viscious circle. In reality they're just relatively overlooked.

Often when people don't like to hear a negative opinion that's becuase they don't want to face reality. In this case however, all I see is a very successful company listed on a so-called 'market' in difficult trading conditions.

Indeed. Given shipment issues in general it makes sense that liquid assets would consist of more inventory than cash.

I managed to get £12.5K into AAZ last week with an average of 121p. Hit 138p yesterday on RNS, but knocked me out at break even and was impossible to sell on the way down. Now 135p and was impossible to buy on the way up. If it wasn't for the fact that the currency is being debased by galactic amounts of new debt issuance and outright monetization I think I'd just hand up my investing boots and go do somthing that's useful and interesting, because I'm certainly rapidly losing interest in this so called 'market'.

Also, I note a huge drop in liquidity. In most junior gold miners now it's not just the spread. Want to buy £1K, see ya. Want to sell £1K, see ya. Limit orders or nowt in many cases.

Luckily I sold all my mining stocks before the huge sell off, but was far to busy preparing for lockdown to buy anything on the dips. Been an absolute nightmare trying to rebuild any gold mining positions since. Everytime I buy in, the price goes up and then the MMs massively increase the spread to 10-20% in some cases and slam the price. Despite my extensive experience of AIM I've been rinsed out completely 4 times, yet still the sector continues higher. It's easy to say just hold, but there is no certainty the entire sector or market won't just implode again. Really feels like I'm being gamed by a higher force. Never felt quite this rigged before and my patience is wearing very thin. GLA
