The way 88E moved was a bit odd and not for the first time. It's been on my shortlist since the Jurassic. Long term dead in a ditch to opportunity gone in the time it takes to have a cup of coffee. If you were lucky enough to get in low then well done, but at £219M market cap this morning the drill looks more than fully priced in. Harrier drilling is not guaranteed and Merlin is only P50 135MMB net to 88E (interest halves post drilling), so you are already paying $2.22/BOE unrisked, $6.00 risked, which looks extremely overpriced. In the last two or three years most oil drills have failed to get anywhere near those sorts of valuations pre target depth, 88E included and 88E's record has been poor. I am expecting another big placing there soon, but best of luck and thank the gift horse.
