Gas price up 5%, if SP goes down tomorrow there's something wrong.

Now up over 6%., very little reflection in SP, got to pop sometime.

Thanks to all for comments and opinions, it seems very strange to see the SP drop 5% on a day when the principle commodity it sells is up 5% , or is it just me.

An interesting dividend calculation Eccles as it has assumed that both of the dividends are the same...... They're not the last one was 6p if I recall correctly, so the trailing yield would not be 14%, if LG decides to make all the dividends the same then the forward yield would be 14% but we don't know that they will pay the same dividend twice, for that reason it's simpler to look at the trailing yield, it's common sense not bad maths.

Maybe Gungi, but why are VTY down 5% more than the other housebuilders? They all have similar exposure to inflation, so I think it may be playing it's part but the dual profit warnings from VTY are in my opinion affecting the entire sector.

Need to be aware that VTY is having a negative impact on all housebuilders I would say. It's down a further 6% today.

Once VTY goes up I suspect TW will go up, it's just a matter of holding tight until then.

I don't think anyone has mentioned the impact of VTY on this SP, yesterday was a case in point , at one stage PSN was slightly up then the VTY drop accelerated and we ,together with other housebuilders ,were dragged down. Be interesting to see what happens to PSN when VTY goes up, assuming it will.....

The answer to the drop is easy sentiment has turned against PSN , for the time being, divi paid tomorrow and rate cuts here and in US today, I topped up this morning.

Read results and still don't have a clue if this will finish up or down at the end of the day, pretty sure it will be both up and down some time today. Best of luck all, including GG.

I appreciate your and others position, I have held DEC for over a year now and initially held it for the dividend, once that was cut I changed strategy to day trading, since I changed the SP has done well so no complaints from me, however it is fairly obvious that Rusty has his own agenda.

Thanks for your responses, I am sure we all agree DEC SP doing well ( with some volatility for the day traders ) is what we all hope for.

Sorry folks I'm not interested in last week last month or last year I day trade these shares so for me their day to day volatility is a plus, in the last week these have been up 6% but have now come down 6% that's more than enough for me to make money. All vitriol and bile welcome.

GG I'm not talking about the last 12 months only the last 2 days.

TerryM1 I think you post should read that oil and gas prices SHOULD BE RELEVANT rather than IS RELEVANT, like it or not our SP moves with the market/sector not only HH.

The drop over the last two days must in part due to oil, gas, metal prices dropping, check out other companies in the drilling and digging sector they're having a miserable time as well, 8 of the 20 biggest fallers are drillers or diggers.

News breaking about fresh beer not being cask beer, CAMRA getting involved. should recover later.

A quick look at the recorded buys/sells shows a ratio of 4/1 yet the SP is down on the day. Since Spoons and MandB are both up there's no sector specific reason for it not going up so why isn't it?
