Does kind of beg the question what in earth happened in Q3 though.... seems like some of that production got pushed into Q4 for some reason? Overall doesn't make too much difference on an annual basis I guess though, and there's no denying it relieves a lot of the pressure they've been under for the past few months. Hopefully we see some record numbers in 2018 and get can get the SP moving back to where it was.

lol TBH I didn't expect it to be the low, it was a small hedge in case of a bounce...looking at the 5 day curve I would say its probably going down further today, and I've accounted for that (still got most of my money available to buy) - but you never know.

I just took my first chunk back in at 1189p .... only a small bite though in case the support doesn't hold tomorrow. I have a reasonable wedge left from my original holding to average down and take advantage if it shows any weakness.

I'd agree that in my view its probably over egged - however......the SP lost circa 20% from the 98m hit (lowest of near 1140p), that's now been increased by 40% - how will the market see it, hmmmm not sure, obviously not well today, but will it bounce tomorrow as an over reaction, or continue southwards below the previous floor of 1140p....tough call. I do have 1 finger on the trigger, but at the moment im holding fire.

I can only give you my perspective on this.... someone pipe up to correct me if I'm wrong! Basically the project was seemingly under quoted to start with, they ended up with an obvious shortfall (98 mil on GFRD part) to complete the two Aberdeen projects. CLLN were bearing the majority of the hit being major stake holders.... so even at finish with CLLN alive there would be no profits at project close, only loss.... now CLLN are defunct their losses from today onwards pass onto GFRD and Balfour, so the losses widen here further for the two.Abredeen projects (up to 40 mil more for GFRD). That's my take on it anyway.

I've always used ajbell... they are typically OK but they do get glitches also .... mostly when I'm desperate to sell lol.

"IF" that's true, its more significant than I had thought, that's up to a 40% increase on the 98 mill impairment originally stated. Again that's just a reporters article, but it seems to "imply" its come from GFRD. Cant see it in the RNS though.

Unfortunately it looks like im correct, that extra demand is likely to be 60-80 million between the JV partners....quite what that means for GFRD I don't know. My guess is as they are a "minor" partner, something like 10mil? but that is a stab in the dark, we really need the figures specific to GFRD, not that total JV figs.

PS I was in and out of CLLN, my last trade there was around 45p and after that i didnt touch it. I wss sorely tempted at 16p but as soon as the FCA thing was mentioned ..... no chance.

Totally agree FK.... I brought this up months ago, why are AIM companies allowed to deliver prod figures at willy nilly dates, FTSE companies always have a financial calendar they stick to. We need one here.

I guess the more immediate concern is with the legacy contract overhangs..... CLLN which was by far the largest stakeholder has effectively evaporated, so the remaining partners will be expected to shoulder the financial burdens to close out the contracts

any likely impact here from CLLN collapse? positive or negative or no affect? I'm wondering if GFRD will gain access to any of the contracts CLLN are relinquishing - obviously a lot of them were not profitable anyway, frankly if I was CEO of GFRD id tell the government to go swivel unless meat was added to the bones of the contracts in terms of financial margins.
