Mine tomorrow 14.25 TREASURE TROVE 11/1 15.00 THE ANTARCTIC 12/1 The 2nd string often beat each other in these 2 yo races at Newmarket this time of year 15.40 INJAZATI 20/1 BRILLIANT LIGHT 20/1 Both ran in Old Rowley Cup as 3 yo. Horses who've been campaigned over further have a good record in this which they both have this season GLA :)
Ayr Gold Cup on Saturday I've come down on MR MAGYU 12/1 and MOTAGALLY 20/1 of both horses were 3rd and 4th in last years renewal respecitively. Both ran well last weekend in competitive sprints with the Portland being a good springboard for this race. Mr Magyu is fast becoming one for my favourite handicap sprinters he'll probably be thereabouts and trainer/jockey riding high with Highfield Princess at the moment GLA :)
Thanks Harry. I'm no royalist myself but she did love her horse racing may she rest in peace. Im sure she'll tune in for Royal Ascot from up above if you beleive it that sort of thing!
I picked out 6 bets yesterday but only backed Mishriff in the end. Im A Gambler, Pearls Galore and Morocana all won at 14/1! Typical.
Doncaster 14.10 INTRINSIC BOND 20/1 LEQUINTO 20/1 15.55 ELDAR ELDAROV 7/1
Curragh 14.25 MOONIESTA 8/1 15.00 NEVER ENDING STORY 10/1 SHELTON 16/1 15.35 PROUD AND REGAL 7/1 16.10 ROSSCARBERY 14/1
I think Paddy Twomey is starting to dine at the top table as a trainer 2 Group 1 wins this year including Pearls Galore yesterday. I've backed a couple of his today and he has French Claim running in the St Leger GLA :)
Thoughts on Group 1s ahead of Saturday. In the St Leger one thing I've come to think is a positive in the race is a break and I mean a big break. I remember when O Brien campaigned Santiago in the Goodwood Cup and I thought that was a negative. If you look at 3 winners in recent years Kew Gardens, Capri and last years winner Hurricane Lane there last race was either the Irish Derby or the Grand Prix De Paris. ELDAR ELDAROV I think found things happening a bit too quickly that day in the Grand Prix De Paris but has been off since the Queen's Vase which he won is usually a good sighter to the St Leger. New London is opposable at the prices despite being deserving favourite. I would like Hoo Ya Mal to win just to give the Derby form a boost but he is after this to be trained by Gai Waterhouse Down Under which would suggest to me he has other targets awaiting him. Haskoy is interesting for Ralph Beckett who won this with Simple Verse in 2015 but might lack experience. Its clear ELDAR ELDAROV 11/2 has been targeted at this and with the long break hes had might have freshness on his side I'm not sure what else has been targeted at the race. Roger Varian won the race with Kingston Hill in 2014.
In the Irish Champion Stakes I would be with MISHRIFF 4/1. He was abit unlucky in the Coral Eclipse and didnt finish too far behind Vadeni and now has the assistance of Colin Keane a hugh positive. You have to respect the French who won this with Almanzor in 2016 (the best renewal of Irish Champion Stakes imo). Vadeni is rightful favourite and another who impressed me was Onesto in the Grand Prix De Paris. We know how the French can use big races as preps for the Arc with Waldgeist running behind Enable in the King George in 2019 and Sottsass running in this race before glory in the Arc in 2020 and just wondering if Onesto will be more effective over 1m4f and using this as a prep. Should be a cracking weekends racing GLA :)
Mine today 14.55 AMTIYAZ and RAJINSKY 8/1 15.30 ROHAAN 9/1 15.45 MANDOBI 10/1 GLA :)
16.15 Irish Cambridgeshire NO MORE PORTER 16/1 MONTAASIB 25/1 CRYSTAL BLACK 33/1 sticking with them GLA :)
I said I was due a winner 20/1! Tomorrow 14.25 TEMPORIZE 25/1 15.35 OKITA SOUSHI 12/1 CANDLEFORD 14/1 16.10 SILVER SAMURAI 12/1 LETHAL LEVI 16/1 Hopefully can win for us again GLA :)
Well done Harry and doze. 13.55 FARHAN 14/1 15.35 WINTER POWER 20/1 Last years winner bit risky I’m never sure with Tim Easterby whether last time was prep for this there have been 3 dual winners of this last 20 years 16.10 VIA SISTINA 12/1 I would ignore last run broke badly and met a bit of trouble in running prior to that looked good at Newmarket under Spencer I’m due a winner! GLA :)
Wow moment today with Baaed superb 15.00 SAGA 14/1 15.35 TUESDAY 4/1 GLA :)
York tomorrow York and Goodwood my favourite meetings. 13.50 BOND CHAIRMAN 14/1 14.25 DUBAI HONOUR 40/1 I think he's more a 16/1 poke personally. Last year he came 2nd in the Champion Stakes ahead of Mishriff. He then ran respectably in Hong Kong and only really disapointed in Meydan but that was over 1m4f which I can forgive I remember Highland Reel running badly out there. He's then gone down a nose to Sir Busker last month over course and distance beaten favourite after a 4 month lay off. I think he'll run alot better tomorrow he looked progressive last year and is only a 4 year old maybe a forecast with his stablemate might be the play 16.10 SOAPY STEVENS 13/2 GLA :)
Cheers Harry. 14.50 MINZAAL 8/1. I've been very impressed with Harry Three this year bit short for me though at 7/1 GLA :)
One for today 16.15 PERSIAN FORCE 4/1 I've been following this one ever since his Brocklesby win might not be able to reverse form with Bradsell but at the prices worth a punt. Could do with a winner been a frustrating season so far GLA :)
One for today Deauville 14.33 PEARLS GALORE 8/1 GLA :)
Well done doze. 16.10 NO MORE PORTER and MAJESTIC COLT 11/1. I’ve had few speculative quid on LOT OF JOY for the Ebor 25/1+ on the exchange. He is a Swedish St Leger winner and he ran OK the other day on debut for Mullins and could’ve been a prep. He’s 1 of 2 entered for Mullins GLA :)
Tomorrow 15.20 Hopefully get another Summerghand 12/1 POPMASTER 20/1 ANNAF For The Handicap King I think you described him as once Harry GLA :)
Tomorrow 15.00 OUZO 16/1 RHOSCOLYN 25/1 Bad draw but was 2nd in this last year and was sent off 13/2. They do occasionally win from a high draw in this race and I imagine the owners The Horse Watchers might have had this race in mind all season and good claimer on board. 18.35 BABY ZEUS 10/1 MERROIR 10/1 GLA :)
15.35 LILAC ROAD 7/1 VILLE DE GRACE 12/1 GLA :)
Tomorrow 15.35 MODERN GAMES 20/1 Looks a big price for a Appleby/Buick runner GLA :)
Today 15.35 COLTRANE 8/1 Melrose winner who appears to be getting his act together having been off the track for a year. He reminds me of Trueshan couple of years ago winning decent handicaps but could make the next step up. 18.40 BLACK CRYSTAL 11/1 MONAASIB 25/1 For all the attention will be on the Ado McGuiness horses there are other trainers that have won this several times GLA :)
Thanks Harry. One of my favourite weeks of the year Goodwood and Galway. Today 18.40 YOUMDOR 12/1 WINTERWATCH 11/1 GLA :)
