14.40 I'm a big Jim Crowley fan and I like it when he rides for Amanda Perrett REBEL TERRITORY 12/1 hopefully can back up his Newmarket win DARKNESS 25/1 Have to keep an eye on these O'Meara horses in big handicaps also particularly if they have come over from France/Ireland and haven't won for over a year he's the king of handicaps but might be worth keeping an eye on the 2nd half of season if tomorrow is't the day same for Rhoscolyn. A jockey to keep an eye on is Benoit D Sayette who has already won 2 Lincolns and can still claim 3lb he rides last years winner Vafortino who he rode to victory last year if he can keep his head down could be destined for great things with the backing of the Gosden yard.
13.35 At Haydock you don't see Harry Cobden riding for Hendo much BOLD ENDEAVOUR 7/1 I think this year he is starting to come in to his own GLA :)
Frankie Dettori is in his final year in the saddle and I imagine he’ll be making as many phone calls as he can to be on the right horses this year. Had Chaldean not got rid of him at Newbury and assuming he’d won what price would he be tomorrow? 3/1? 16.40 CHALDEAN 7/1 GLA :)
14.50 REAL WORLD 16/1 Has to put a couple of disappointing runs behind him but he generally doesn’t run that well in Dubai some of these might need the run GLA :)
Well done Harry. Hoping to end the jumps season on a high. 13.40 GREANETEEN 9/4 14.15 COOLVALLA 12/1 ANNUAL INVICTUS 20/1 15.50 BRANDY LOVE 5/1 17.00 ZARAK THE BRAVE 7/1 GLA :)
Mine today 14.25 SALSADA 10/1 15.35 LORD ACCORD 33/1 SMALL PRESENT 50/1 GLA :)
Cheers Harry. Easing my way into the flat season. One for tomorrow 13.30 GERIMANDE 11/2. Here are a few 3 year olds to follow this coming flat season:
The Foxes - Is entered in the Craven on Thursday but not The Guineas. Has a Derby entry so maybe that what they are thinking. Caused a surprise and won the Royal Lodge stakes last year.
King Of Steel - Big scopey sort who has transferred to Roger Varian from David Loughnane. Finished nearer last than first in Vertem Futurity Stakes but might come into his own over middle distance trips this year. Holds Derby entry
Streets of Gold - 5 from 5 last year for Eve Johnson Houghton. Think they are going to have a crack at The Guineas and is entered for The Greenham on Saturday.
GLA :)

Well done Harry was almost counting my money on Ahoy Senor mind! 13.45 BRONN 3/1 14.20 SONIGINO and MARTELLO SKY 16/1 14.55 LUCCIA 5/1 15.30 MILLERS BANK 9/1 16.05 AL DANCER 8/1 BURROWS SAINT 10/1 16.40 IROKO 6/1 and bit of a punt BLENKINSOP 20/1 GLA :)
Mine for to kick off the 3 day Grand National meeting at Aintree tomorrow 13.45 BANBRIDGE 13/8 14.20 SCRIPTWRITER 7/1 14.55 AHOY SENOR 11/2 16.40 PAY THE PIPER 9/1 and DANCING ON MY OWN 7/1.
My current 3 for the National are:
GALVIN 20/1, MISTER COFFEE 50/1 and CLOUDY GLEN 66/1. They've all run good races in good trials for the National GLA:)
Thanks Harry. Irish Grand National 17.00 BUSSELTON 33/1 FIRE ATTACK 66/1 Last couple of years been won horses that raced prominently which both these should do for Jospeph O Brien. Neither ran at Cheltenham either which I think might be a positive GLA :)
Couple for Easter Sunday 14.35 MAGICAL ZOE 3/1 16.55 SIR GERHARD 11/2 GLA :)
Cheers Harry hope you're feeling better. Tomorrow 15.35 ONESMOOTHOPERATOR WICKYWICKYWHEELS 12/1 17.05 TAX FOR MAX 12/1 POWER FOR PAUSE 20/1 Happy Easter everyone GLA :)
Get well soon Harry. My two for the Lincoln on Saturday. Pays to be fresh if not running out in Meydan in the winter which nothing has been this year. With alot of these premium handicaps it pays to look for something rated around the 100 mark rather than something at the foot of the weights. ATRIUM 12/1 beat the consistent EMPIRESTATEOFMIND 20/1 over course and distance last September by half a length. ATRIUM is 2lb better off with EMPIRESTATEOFMIND but jockey Taylor Fisher is claiming 5lb this time he might be able to get his revenge this time (Connections also have the evergreen Safe Voyage entered as well). They'll do for me at the prices the flat is back! GLA :)
Mine today 15.25 CELTIC CROWN and FINANS BAY 20/1 At Meydan 15.10 REAL WORLD 7/1 16.00 REBELS ROMANCE 5/1 16.35 T O KEYNES 10/1 GLA :)
Thought I was going to land a big one yesterday Affordale Fury finishing 2nd by a length at 150/1. Thought Galopin Des Champs was brilliant yesterday like Constitution Hill on Tuesday both very good horses 15.00 Midlands National BUSHYPARK 12/1 TILE TAPPER 16/1 GLA :)
One more in the Albert Bartlett because I'm not sure that was his true running back at Cheltenham 14.50 WEVEALLBEENCAUGHT 33/1 it pays to be forgiving but not too forgiving GLA :)
Gold Cup day 13.30 JIPCOT 50/1 Ben Pauling had a French recruit run well for him Bad earlier on the week and nearly won the Boodles handicap. 14.10 FIRST STREET 16/1 PIED PIPER 16/1 PINKERTON 20/1 I'd dont like backing too many in the same race but I dont bet much on Gold Cup day as its generally a bookie's benefit gig I'll do some small exactas also. 14.50 AFFORDALE FURY 100/1 Race has thrown up big priced winners Minella Indo went off 50/1 15.30 STATTLER 16/1 Think he's been ticking over nicely this season and won the NH Chase last season and will stay on the soft ground GLA :)
13.30 STAGE STAR 8/1 Banbridge unfortunately ground too soft. The Novice Handicap Chase Stage Star won on Trials Day god to festival in recent years in 2nd Datsalrightgino who ran well in Pendell at Kempton also. I’d recommend putting those in an EW double as well GLA :)
Mine today 13.30 BANBRIDGE 7/1 Don’t want any more rain mind 14.10 AU TAULUIR 12/1 HECTOR JAVILEX 14/1 14.50 JANADIL 7/1 Just in case Shishkin doesn’t turn up but should be winning this 15.30 GOLD TWEET 10/1 16.10 FUGITIF 10/1 DATSALRIGHTGINO 10/1 One for me stronger fancies of the week GLA :)
Cheers Harry glad you had a nice time. I agree it was great seeing Honeysuckle go out on a high and think they made right decision not running in the Champion Hurdle and with what happened to Henry and De Bromhead family last year it was great to see and Constitution Hill is one of those horses you see once every 10-20 years one of the best days I’ve seen at the festival.
Todays pick 13.30 CHAMP KIELY 8/1 Nice boost yesterday with Marine Nationale form line with Irish Hill 14.10 THE BIG WHACKER 6/1 Love his bold front running style 14.50 RED RISK and TAX FOR MAX 33/1 Not too dissimilar to Blue Berry Mullins previous winner of race now up in trip 15.30 I’ve got my only decent Antepost running Edwardstone at 14/1 but can’t let EDITEUR DU GITE 5/1 go unbacked I was sick when he won last time as had been such a fan last year Nube Negra I’d give a shout out to but don’t think the ground will be quick enough for him has been saved for the race. 16.10 No bet but if Galvin does win his odds will likely tumble for the Grand National so I’ve taken 25/1 about him this is the tried and tested Gordon Elliott route Tiger Roll, Cause of Causes, Delta Work. 16.50 MIDNIGHT RUN 20/1 EPSOM DE HOUX 20/1 Both given quiet campaigns this season and anything in these silks are worth a look. 17.30 QUEENS GAMBLE 20/1 Disappointed last start but keeping the faith. I’ll go the other Captain Harry CAPTAIN CODY 100/1 You’ve got to back the odd one at a mad price particularly in this race. Jody Townend Paul’s sister rides most of the bumper horses along with Patrick Mullins therefore they’ve likely found her a decent horse to ride. Mullins likes all his jockeys to ride a winner GLA :)
