Countries cant get a handle on the variant. SERIOUSLY. Good to see the UK is doing all the right things. Just seeing the social distancing at last night and the responsible behaviour of those attending the game showed just how our of touch we are. The fact that the govt allowed spectators is beyond me. And to allow alcohol. Not following science and I hope the game was worth it. So much for the 19th July. Lets make an exception for sport. 100000 new cases a day will be seen soon and its all on the govts head. No wonder this company stock is being dumped. This is going to drag on and I fear RR will just burn through the last of the cash as they have no answers. Not a good position to be in and not much can be done now
What happened to the 19th as the important date to open the country. This sector is totally Fcked at the moment. If the govt is going to open up to allow 60000 fans to see a poxy game of football 2 weeks early then open the floodgates. Look at ascotlsnds infections after the last game. This will be a superspreader. Remember where this started in Italy in 2020. At a football game. I expect infections will skyrocket and travel will be curtailed yet again. Other countries will stop travel from Britian due to the risk as they are behind with vaccines. No point on the dithered allowing travel if countries shut their borders to a country with the highest rate on Europe and growing daily. Long term RR will do well but the delay is avoidable and beyond the mental capacity of those running the country to make a decision and stand by it without bowing to pressure. Australia has just cancelled the motor GP and the Formula 1 this year due to safety concerns. Perhaps the PM could have taken a similar approach but instead he is delaying travel and going to be responsible for another spread. Perhaps I am seeing this wrong but this share should be flying but each day it heads south due to further uncertainty. WTF. Follow advice.
Dreading the months ahead. Just no lete. Run badly before the pandemic and bad luck since. The govt seems determined to destroy the sector and other countries are now digging in and banning the uk. Funny though with Germany. Worried about the uk coming in to Germany without quarantining but happy to let spectators of a football game into a britian and then go home. The spread will continue and this wont go away soon. How much of the shareholder money will be left.
This sell off is relentless. I wonder if this is just the start or the end and why its gaining momentum. Its too much of a risk even for institutions. Why would they invest in a lost cause that comment make a profit, has no chance of paying dividends for a long time and its so far in debt there no room to move what else can they sell. Each day this government seems determined to kill off this sector with no logic. Are they stopping football supporters from Europe. coming over to watch games unless quarantined and as the germans want, isolation for 5 days first. Are they stopping people travelling to Cornwall where there are 150 cases per million compared to 40 in Europe. As for the Germans wanting a quarantine on all Britain's entering Europe, lets reciprocate when they play at Wembley in the knock out stages and let them watch from hotel rooms.
The UK has no chance as long as a government run by individuals you wouldn't trust to run a bath are trying to think they are grown ups cant make sound decisions. They have no grip on the virus snd the fact that there is 5 times more risk if catching the virus in Cornwall than most of Europe yet anyone can travel to Cornwall is mind-boggling. The sector is doomed and its clear why the shares are plummeting in the sector. Getting out with something is better than losing everything as the govt seems determined to destroy the sector. Letting 60000 people watch a ridiculous football game or 140000 attend a racing event is a super spreader in the making. Expecting any form of distancing is a joke. Europe will lock the uk out soon and then we are in real trouble.
Thanks for the info
Can someone point me in the right direction. I cant see any news of this today. With IG the div is paid the day they go ex div and this hasn't happened so is it today
I understand the govts caution but not inconsistency. Allowing 60000 spectators into a football stadium including 2500 visiting and sponsors who do not meet the same criteria as the govt has put on the country is total hypocrisy. Its politics and not following scientific advice. If it was they would ensure the existingrukes applied to all. The only saving grace is that knowing how weak the govt is they will open flights to the 2 non English teams in final it will open up travel and restrictions a thing of the past. I suspect once England are out the venue will change. No wonder airline stocks are a mess when the Govt can't even agree and stick to a policy.

No opinion here just an interesting read
Not sure how you can cause trouble sharing views unless of course there is the snowflake mentality of being easily offended.
I do hold shares in CF unfortunately but in at the top end of 1.85 years ago and averaging down to try and break even. Poor decision. Having said that it's interesting that rampers seem to think that just because they post nice things the price will rise. I hope I am wrong about the resukts but what cannot be denied is the day by day sell off. If the future is so rosy why is that. Keep baseless ramps going but don't criticise when factual comments come out. Of course if this takes I will be delighted
Sometimes one has to wonder why they are trying to manipulate the price. Must have some big investors with short positions trying to help them out with panic selling as a result of their comments
No good news came out before the pandemic
No good news during and only bad news since reopening.
Moonpig is killing the pig and I am not sure of what good news can come out
They have no grip on online sales which is the future and foot flow on high streets will never be back to where it was. Add to this covenant breaches and large penalties I am baffled. The SP has fallen 30% in Month or two. Its clear the dumping of stocks continues. Want to see some light so please can those ramping up CF put some meat behind the bones. Oh and dividends??????
A reminder of a well known American Bank that bought heavily into deliveroo when it floated to as they stated pop up the price on listing. News and performance seem to have less to do with SP than the direction of the index and where the big players want the direction to go. They decide when its time to buy and sell
Good article and of course the institutions and hedge funds manipulate shares for their own end snd that of clients . They will of course say this isn't true. Not saying its happening with Vodafone but we would be kidding ourselves if we thought these big players can't determine price by the sheer volume of trades they can execute either way.
Why has this stock been out of favour for so long. Shouldbe moving up nicely. Are they simplyosying too much for licences mounting up debt with no possibility of making a return. Each year they seem to get themselves into a worse position. If not why.
