5 The Rathlin application was made on 18th September 2024 and up to 15th January 2025 had had 17 weeks or 119 days to provide the requested information. Your statement to Rathlin was that if you did not receive the information required that you would treat the application has having been withdrawn or it may be refused. ***

6 The original hole liner has been in place 13 years and will have deteriorated to an extent where it should be replaced,

By the time the extended public consultation period ended on Friday 24th January (last week) the Environment Agency had received 207 written submissions detailing why the proposed drilling by Rathlin should not go ahead.

Environment Agency extends consultation on Rathlin Energy 5th Dec 2024.

A consultation into an environmental permit application from Rathlin Energy (UK) Limited has been extended by the Environment Agency following feedback.

It will also hold a public drop-in event to ensure all interested residents and groups can share their views on the application.The consultation opened on Tuesday 19 November and was originally planned to close on Friday 3 January 2025.In response to representations from residents about it running across Christmas, the consultation period has now been extended for three weeks and will now close on Friday 24 January.

Not a good look this regarding a successful outcome for Colle Santo. I thought that a new play in the USA may appear, but now it seems that West Newton is to be resurrected to bring cheer to disgruntled shareholders. Potential buyers would do well to clear of this fiasco.

The problem with Spain/Italy/Greece is the prevalent 'black economy' which is the main reason why their national economies are so poor. This project will undoubtedly have to smooth any number of palms to get a deal over the line. When all those have had their fill along with the directors etc, will their be anything left for shareholders? And that is if all other obstacles are overcome, and the jury is still out on that. The joke about mushrooms and being kept in the dark could have been coined for this scenario!

I just cannot see why anyone should take a positive outlook on the RNS that has been released today. OK I see it with Simon who is a lost case and still posts with a string buy recommendation. I think we all would given the extremely difficult and parlous financial situation he finds himself in. But for experienced punters the reason for the delay is all to apparent, and is following the well trodden path of what has gone before.

The way I see proceedings happening over the next few days is this. The company is obligated to inform its shareholders regarding the option which they have stated is due by February 1st at the latest. As this falls on Saturday then Monday should be the absolute latest news via an RNS should appear. Failure to adhere to this timetable would mean a total distrust of any more director statements by shareholders, and a resultant plunge in the share price. Keeping the detail which is now only a few hours from the deadline does not seem to me to be consistent with a successful outcome. Unless the dynamic duo are playing games with us of course.

Moniman....yes perhaps the setting up of Reabold California was the first with over £6,000,000 disappearing into the ether. The 'paper chase' eventually finding its way to a company called Daybreak who never made a cent of profit in over 50 years of trading and whose CEO retired last year. I personally ran a business for 3 decades but would never have touched that sort of company with a bargepole, and theses guys are using other peoples money.

Uggy, I think the point is being missed here, they haven't been taken in, they're an integral part of the swindle.
