Adrian Hargrave, CEO of SEEEN, explains how the new funds will accelerate customer growth Watch the video here.
Under normal circumstances and with many other companies I'd agree with you Pecten, but in this instance I gather the shares were placed with Directors and existing shareholders (see the accompanying rns) - few of whom are likely to be offloading IMO especially given the possibility of news any day re Thorny River (and the Vast thing and all the other stuff in the pipeline of course).
He’s clearly fired up about Mars 2 (as indeed they were at the AGM). Do we think he may already have found it?
They made it quite clear at the AGM presentation (it's on the www at http://botswanadiamonds.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/BOD-Presentation-Dec-2019.pdf ) and in q+a that they were pretty much 'drill ready' in 5 key locations (and hinted at possibly more) which Subterrane have identified at ThornyRiver/Marsfontein and that once funding in place they could start drilling more or less straight away. Money's now in the bank so they should be ready to go, which the tweets and videos are giving more than a hint that it's 'imminent' (hate that word lol) imo.
Hi Echo
Yes I can't disagree with any of that.
Except that of course if, say, one of the drills at Marsfontein this month did just happen upon another bulb of even half the size of the old one we wouldn't be talking about shareprice 2p/mcap 12m but multiples of that. As you say, this is African exploration and nothing can be taken for granted, which works both ways, so you never know! Meanwhile, with our feet back on the ground, we have a company with plenty of prospects, run nicely by experienced people with good working partners, virtually no overheads and no debt. I'm happy to let it burn as slowly or as quickly as it likes!
Cast/JSC/Ripley/Echo I attended the AGM before Xmas (one of 3 shareholders present! - were any of you one of the other 2?). The presentation they made was extremely upbeat. The directors seemed very enthusiastic in particular about a couple of things, one being Zimbabwe, but the other and most notable being Thorny River and in particular the old Marsfontein Farm permit (that's where the old mine where they are now sifting the gravels yielded Debeers/SouthernEra nearly 2m carats from 1m tonnes in two years with investment payback in 4 days). That was in 1998, since when technology has progressed apace, and given that it has long been believed that there are undiscovered high-grade kimberlite pipes in the areas adjacent to the old mine, hidden by a dolerite cover and previously undetected because it is too deep/complex for existing conventional technology to identify. So, with the help of Subterrane's state of the art seismic geophysical and structural geological technology, they have now surveyed the surrounding areas and have identified 5 specifically targeted areas to drill which Subterrane believe they may have identified kimberlite pipes/bulbs. Since they have now said that these are to be drilled during early February (hence the placing to pay for it). It could be very interesting to see what they find...
Another thing, maybe slightly more of a slow burn though, is Maibwe in the Kalahari, where the JV partner BCL went bust so there's a whole load of political shenanigans around it, but the 2015 drilling programme identified kimberlites with 'significant quantities of microdiamonds' - rumours are abound on the street in Gaborone that the discovery was actually one of the biggest, possibly even the biggest, diamond discoveries ever. BOD has an existing significant % carry in the project (I can't remember the actual %) and they said at the AGM that they are awaiting the outcome of their bid for BCL's 51%.
Exciting times ahead, some of them potentially fairly imminent.
JSCapper don't forget that although the Chiadzwa project is the one getting all the press, BOD also has 50/50 agreement outside of the Marange concessions with a primary focus on kimberlites. These prospects haven't been looked at in decades and could potentially be game-changing.
Remember too that the Marsfontein property isn't necessarily just the dumps and gravels (although they are now confirmed to be ramping up, are extensive and under-explored) ...
10 hrs/week not month pec (but hey...!).
You are spot-on re Mars.
And if they do win Maibwe they’ll presumably need to concentrate some resource there -and to raise a few quid so probably a good idea to keep some powder dry on both counts.
Not many Pecten - they have very small overheads, besides JC they have a small group of extremely experienced people they call upon tonperform specific roles and projects (Baxter Brown being one). Inseriously doubt given history and his experience that this would stretch James all that much. That said he seems to work all the hours God sends him already.
2.5% of the Chiadzwa for a 10 hour week... that just might well prove to be one of the highest paid consultancy jobs ever known!
It way well do. If you had any clue about the history of those gravels You would’t be saying that though!
Correct Castaway. Marsfontein is proving cash generative from more or less already now and Maibwe is a very interesting situation which could land BOD a seriously lucrative opportunity if they play their cards right - well worth a look.
Still out are you Fantasy?
Jeez you are a bigger imbecile than I even suspected. Discussion closed.
No gamble Fantasy just good research and a consequent belief in the value of those assets. Not rocket science, but clearly beyond the comprehension of fools!
Maybe - but for me and others who believed in the company, AP, and its assets (unlike you and yours) and who carried on buying shares at 11, 12. etc today’s 70% was rather good! I’ll assume you didn’t participate in today’s uplift - after all that would have implied that you harboured an inkling of belief. Or were you, in line with your declared beliefs, perhaps short? Oooh I do hope so!
Backtracking now I see? There’s a surprise. So bleedin’ predictable!
Cast - I get where you are coming from but I’ve had a few celebratory drinks and am gunning to smack the little tw at where he deserves it. Boom!
You haven’t amswered my question! (Still wanting rid of Andrew...?)
Have you?...
Not really fantasy I’ve had a rather good day!
