Revenues for the six months to 31 December 2020 were A$2.1m, up 10% from the A$1.8m of revenue generated in the comparative period in 2019. Product sales for the half year were A$1.7m, 26% higher than the A$1.4m in the corresponding prior year period. This improved performance was despite the significant disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. EBITDA loss excluding the amortisation of employee share options is expected to be approximately A$1m, including the Murata project expenses (H1 2019: loss of A$0.8m). The Company's order book as at 31 January 2021 was over 100% higher than at the same time last year.

The Company has made excellent progress at its newly constructed headquarters facility at Seven Hills, where supercapacitor production has moved into the commercial phase. The facility is performing in line with management's expectations.

The Company continues to make progress in the pursuit of its various licencing and patent infringement cases.

The Board is also pleased to announce that CAP-XX is now an approved supplier to a global smart phone manufacturer and separately has commenced the formal process to become an accredited supplier to a global Automotive Tier 1 Component Supplier.

The patent cases are against Ioxus to recover the US$5million as a result of CAP-XX winning this patent court case and against Tesla/Maxwell.

Boohoo said it bought the three Arcadia brands for a number of reasons: They had 2 million active customers in 2020; they’ll help to strengthen Boohoo’s men’s wear offer and its position in the global fashion e-commerce market.

Dorothy Perkins, Wallis and Burton will also help to bulk up the Debenhams multibrand online marketplace that Boohoo is building.

Russ Mould, investment director at AJ Bell, commented: ‘Boohoo now has a lot of work on its plate in sorting out the strategic direction for its plethora of newly-acquired brands. At the same it is still trying to improve standards across its existing business which means management will have to be good at multitasking or chaos will ensue.’

Jefferies sees this deal as ‘a very good one for boohoo - absolutely consistent with the strategy of adding brands to its multi-brand platform, a transaction type in which the group has a demonstrable track record, and a very reasonable price for some substantial, scaled assets.’

However Shore Capital, which has a ‘sell’ rating on Boohoo, commented: ‘We understand that Dorothy Perkins may have some brand equity but struggle with the rationale of Wallis, although the administrators of the Arcadia stable needed to find a new home for all the brands.

‘Boohoo continues to scale up, but we question the band width of the existing management team and potential execution risk continues to rise with every acquisition.’

Wallis, Dorothy Perkins and Burton were already on the Debenhams Platform.

For me, I think it will be the beauty, of course.

Followed by the existing 25% of revenue which comes from those Marketplace brands already on the Debenhams Platform.

Then Nasty Gal, Karen Millen, Coast, Oasis, Warehouse, MissPap, Wallis, Burtons, Dorothy Perkins, Manterey, Maine, Principles and Faith. Maybe BoohooMan too.

I don't think Boohoo and PLT need to be on the Debenhams Platform because they're already international brands.

I think all the ones I've mentioned above will be up and running on the Debenhams Platform by end of May 2021.

"These brands have been driven down for a long time," says Kate Hardcastle, from retail analysts Insight with Passion. "If anything was going on at Arcadia fashion, it was going on at Topshop. That was Arcadia's one jewel."

She agrees Dorothy Perkins had become dull and tired, but says if any company can bring it to life, it's Boohoo: "Look at what it's done with Karen Millen. Who would have thought the last word in fast fashion could have taken on Karen Millen, and Coast, and reinvigorated them.

"They've proved they can reinvigorate and they do that by knowing their customer.

"Coast now looks nothing like what it did - gone are the big flowery ball gowns -they've listened to their customers and found they didn't want that after all.

"Boohoo management have the skill. They were market traders and they were able to take their direct-to-consumer relationship attitude to online. If you know how to do that with one set of customers, you can do it with others."

It sounds to me like you're under a great deal of stress and that's not the time to be posting on here.

If someone is patronizing, they speak or behave towards you in a way that seems friendly, but which shows that they think they are superior to you.

Passive-aggressive behaviors are those that involve acting indirectly aggressive rather than directly aggressive. Passive-aggressive people regularly exhibit resistance to requests or demands from family and other individuals often by procrastinating, expressing sullenness, or acting stubborn.

Fro future reference - abuse includes attacking someone in words. Insult means to speak to or treat with disrespect or scornful abuse.

Inferno - none of us are perfect investors. It's about being prepared to learn from each other.

It's been my experience in life, that those who use the word oversensitive, do it to avoid taking responsibility for their own behaviour.

Boohoo got ESG badly wrong and hopefully they will get it right in the future. That should never have happened. No doubt, they've learnt a big lesson from getting that one wrong.

I do think it's bad trading because it encourages you to jump from one share to another in the hope of making small profits. I prefer to use that time to learn, read and research. I've done both in the past, trading and holding. I'm much happier learning, reading, researching and holding. I've made tons more money holding than trading. All I'm trying to do is pass on my knowledge, skills and experience onto others. If you don't want to learn from me, then don't. However, don't insult and abuse me for trying to pass my knowledge, skills and experience onto others.

For me, it's best to spend my time reading posts on here rather than writing them. There's loads to learn from them and I love learning.
