I bought 360,000 Boohoo shares in 2015 at 27p - have learnt now never to dismiss anything, even "Very". Check everything is now my motto and dismiss nothing.
Like many on here I dismissed Shein as competition to Boohoo. I should have sold at £4 but got too greedy, learnt loads from that one. Boohoo could have done brilliantly had it not been for the Leicester scandal. Should have got out then, again, I thought it wouldn't be as big to the share price as it became. Another valuable lesson learnt. And then Covid-19, Boohoo did brilliantly in the first lockdown and then came the global supply chain problems with higher freight costs. Plus returns have gone mad seemingly due to Omicron.
I don't know if Boohoo has reached its bottom yet. Nobody does. Too many uncertainties around. These will affect all share prices including Boohoo.
Omicron is going to get worse before it gets better. People are frightened. Inflation is going up. Interest rates are going up. Wages are going up. Lack of lorry drivers, warehouse workers, etc. Supply chain problems persisting. Possible global economic downturn with Omicron and whatever other variants of Covid-19 emerge.
Yeah I was wrong on the way down. Maybe I'm wrong on the way back up. Once bitten, twice shy as the saying goes. So now I try to look at all the negatives. They say you learn more from your mistakes than your successes. Too true. And I'm still learning.
