Oke - the volume recorded on here for Boohoo today is nearly 9m. Always check the volume against the guesses for buys and sells. Always remember they are guesses and incredibly inaccurate.

Oke - again you're another one on here that doesn't look at the volume. You look at buys and sells and believe it. Look at the volume on the left hand side, half way down under Boohoo share price and on the page also titled Boohoo share price.

The volume is always much bigger than the buys and sells. The buys and sells are guesses. London Stock Exchange doesn't allow the recording of buys and sells, however companies can guess depending on the price paid and the spread. This is far from 100% accurate.

The latest update from the British Retail Consortium (BRC) suggests inflation is easing as consumers boost their spending. However, online sales showed a slight dip.

Some more evidence for you.

Oke - I'm in none of those camps. Too much faith here in Boohoo. I'm an investor. I look for growth shares. I want to be sure they are growth shares. I'm not interested in companies having to reduce costs because that can be temporary. I'm interested to see if Boohoo can become a growth share again and at what cost. I look at how much growth and how much it costs. I don't go into shares believing they'll grow or hoping they'll grow or on the latest big news like a USDC or Mike Ashley buying or Umar Kamani buying. I want evidence to prove that Boohoo can grow and it won't cost them a fortune to grow. Simple, not complicated at all. I wait for the proof and then I look to invest.

All this talk about shenanigans in the market is simply noise that distracts from reality.

No institutions are interested in buying Boohoo. Boohoo is out of favour with investors. There are 1.3bn shares in issue. Mike Ashley may put the price up because of what I call sucker buyers. Then the share price comes back to reality.

Unfortunately, holders won't see the reality at present. They're lost in hope and faith.

T4g - you're the joke.

You can't see that Boohoo is no longer the growth share it once was. There are not the buyers out there for Boohoo shares. Yes, Mike Ashley may be hoping to make a profit. However, he's a billionaire and can afford to lose money.

The rest of us are wanting growth shares to make money. Boohoo has yet to prove it can be a growth share again.

T4g - I do that, it's all there to see and most are 3m, 4m and 5m during August. August is a holiday time and particularly Bank Holiday week.

You need to look at figures before August.

T4g - the average daily volume for Boohoo is about 5m shares exchanged. Not tens of millions.

T4g - maybe for you. The most people I know wouldn't agree with you.

Plus, it's August, many people are on holiday. You need to take into account so many things when it comes to shares.

T4g - where you have say more than 2m shares trades, that is liquidity. Illiquid is where there's maybe 50,000 down to none traded regularly.

If I'm interested in buying a share, then I buy it over a period of time. I don't put in all my money at once. I might buy in over a week, maybe every day or over a couple of weeks, again maybe every day.

Ableton - prices can't be totally accurately predicted 100% of the time. If they could, we'd all be rich.

Ableton - liquidity can have an effect, however, where Boohoo is concerned, there's loads of liquidity. So it's down to where there's more sells the price goes down to find buyers to buy them. Where's there's more buys the price goes up to find the sellers to get the shares needed for the buyers i.e. to fill the buy orders.

JeremyP - for example the volume of shares on here is recorded at this moment at nearly 6.7m and now look the buys reported on here are 3.6m and 1.6m sells, this adds up to 5.2m so you have 1.5m missing, plus you'll have inaccurate guesses of buys and sells

Look at the volume under the column headed Boohoo share price on the left hand side half way down on the page also headed Boohoo share price.

JeremyP - another one who only looks at the buys and sells on here and doesn't look at the total volume. This is what makes you think there's manipulation.

The FCA can investigate fraud and will investigate fraud. The FCA are not clueless. The problem is the Government don't provide them with the funding they need. Blame the Government and not the FCA.

The majority of people investing don't believe in manipulation of the market like you do. If they did, there would be uproar.

Focus on choice of shares for investing and don't waste your valuable time thinking about so called manipulation.

You have to take guesses on buys and sells with a pinch of salt because they are not accurate.

Volume in the Market is the total number of buys and sells. So, in effect when the volume is 60m it is really around 30m shares sold into the marketplace and bought from the marketplace. Don't let the total volume distort your thinking.

Some times the market makers need more shares and so they have to put the price up to get holders to sell theirs. Sometimes the market makers have loads of sells and they have to put the price down to get buyers to buy them.. Market Makers need to balance their books at the end of the day because they don't want a huge overhang on their books for the next day. The unclosed trade is used to offload shares not traded during the day and to determine the closing price for the share.

Trades are not reported as buys nor sells however guesses can be made based on price spread and price traded. You have to take these reported buys

Pedro61 - they're only manipulating when the share price goes down and never when the share price goes up. Totally distorted view.
