RE: Projections16 Sep 2023 16:41
WeeWee - I explained H2 was always higher than H1 because of Christmas, New Year, Black Friday, Thanksgiving, etc. Then you said it's about being against last years's figures. You were trying to make out Christmas, New Year etc., don't make a difference to H2 figures for Boohoo.
I explained I was comparing the guidance figures stated by Boohoo for H2 and H1 for fy 2024. I gave some examples of these from past years by subtracting fy from H1 to get H2.
Maybe, you could try reading my posts in full instead of reiterating exactly what I had said and making it sound like I hadn't already posted the explanation for how to get the figure for H2 and how H2 is always higher than H1 for Boohoo.
I pointed out in my past posts that H2 for fy 2019 was 17.5% higher than H1 for fy 2019. And H2 for fy 2020 was 20% higher than H1 for fy 2020.
The reason for doing this as stated in my posts was to explain the guidance by Boohoo for H1 fy2024 to be 10% to 15% decline whilst fy 2024 would be flat to 5% decline. The seasonal H2 would bring better figures for Boohoo for fy 2024 and so this would explain the higher guidance figures for fy 2024 of flat to 5% decline.
Also, any monies saved on freight, cotton and anything else would be going into price, proposition and speed. Boohoo have already taken these savings into consideration for their guidance figures for H1 2024 for 10% to 15 decline and fy 2024 for flat to 5% decline.
Anything else on here is simply guesswork by hopeful holders of Boohoo shares.
