One of the payment methods on Boohoo is Klarna. Research it for yourself.

Klarna gives you up to 3 months to pay for your item ,so hence why customers use klarna to pay for items.

Customers buy Boohoo items on Klarna, wear them and return them without having paid a penny.

Guesstimates for Boohoo returns are 50%. Think about it, 50% of what you sell is returned. That probably could work out at something like up to 50 million items returned.

This is also why the Boohoo share price has declined to where it is.

Returns are a huge problem for Boohoo.

Customers use Klarna, buy now, pay later and end up getting an outfit from Boohoo, wearing it, returning it, without having paid a penny.

You may remember the days customers complaining about stains on Boohoo items they'd purchased. Well this was because customers were buying outfits from boohoo, wearing them and returning them for a full refund or without having to pay anything for them if they used Klarna. Boohoo were putting these returned items back into their warehouse shelves to sell again. Then they learnt they couldn't be sold again because customers were wearing them and returning them. Boohoo didn't have the resources to check each and every return.

Now Boohoo like ASOS, etc., have had to use a third party outsource for returns because there are millions and million and millions of returns. This outsourcing is costing Boohoo and the likes of ASOS loads of money.

WeeWee - there's always been growth for H2 for Boohoo every year. The point is Boohoo's H2 2024's growth is pitiable to say the least.

Conversion rates are people who look at the Boohoo website and purchase. Sales revenue is down with Boohoo which tells you their conversions rates aren't doing well. This is why Boohoo are having to invest in price, proposition and speed in the hope they can get more conversion rates and therefore more sales.

The other big problem for Boohoo is returns. Returns have increased to even higher numbers than pre-pandemic. The trend seems to be buy something from Boohoo, wear it one night and return it for a full refund. Boohoo don't have the resources to go through every return and customers know this by trying this game once, if it works, then they keep doing it.

T4g - Boohoo have already stated they need to invest in price, proposition and speed. I would think this means Boohoo's conversion rates aren't so good.

WeeWee - Boohoo have guided for 10% to 15% decline in sales revenue for H1 2024 and flat to 5% decline in sales revenue for fy 2024. That's not growth in sales revenue.

WeeWee - if Boohoo can't achieve some growth between fy2023 and fy 2024, then they've really had it.

Plenty of money to be made in small cap companies for these. Look at the recent rises for the likes of tullow and pantheon resources. You missed them WeeWee.

The reason I used H2 figures for 2019 and 2020 was because they had made 20% and 17.5% growth in their H2 compared to their H1.

Shein is growing more and more to the detriment of Boohoo, ASOS. Temu will be growing more and more. Don't expect governments to ban these. Don't expect them to IPO if it's going to go against them.

I would think this is why Mike Ashley is getting rid of Missguided. It's too difficult to make money from fast fashion against the likes of Shein and Temu. There will be many more competitors like them in the future.

Look at what the world needs for the future. Resources for electric vehicles and oil until it can be replaced. Small cap companies that are already making money in these or have the finance already in place to make money from them.

Please be aware that Boohoo's guidance figures will include savings from freight, cotton, etc., plus they will have included figures for the USDC in their guidance too.

H1 2024 guidance is for 10% to 15% decline in revenue. Fy 2024 guidance is for flat to 5% decline in revenue. To get to flat to 5% decline in revenue for fy 2024 from H1 2024 of 10% to 15% decline, Boohoo have to get growth of at least 15% in H2 2024 to get flat revenue for fy 2024, if the decline for H1 2024 is 15% in revenue.
