CEO of Frasers stated it would all become obvious why they had bought shares in Asos, Boohoo, Currys, AO World, etc.

The obvious to me is they want them to use the Frasers Plus Payment System. This is where Frasers are looking to make money for the future imho.

Klarna is worth more than $30bn and Frasers want a bit of this imho.

Frasers are charging nothing for Frasers Plus payment system whereas Klarna charge for their payment system.

Frasers are already talking to Asos, Boohoo, AO World, Currys, etc about using the Frasers Plus Payment system.

For me, this is the reason Frasers bought shares in these companies.

Frasers have already done a strategic deal with THG to get THG to include Frasers Plus Payment System in Ingenuity and for THG to use Frasers Plus Payment System.

Frasers will do the same with the other companies like Asos, Boohoo, etc so they use the Frasers Plus Payment System. If it means buying more shares in these companies, then they'll do this.

Please remember if Frasers get to 30% holding in any of these companies then all they have to do is make an offer above their last buying price to overcome the mandatory rule of making a "so called" offer.

Frasers have over £1bn net debt so they won't be buying ASos, Boohoo or any other company. They don't have the money to do it. The money for Frasers is getting these companies to use the Frasers Plus Payment System and then expanding this payment system into other companies.. This is where the money is for the future of Frasers.

Unfortunately, the likes of Boohoo, Asos, THG or REVB will not be bought out.

There are posters on THG, Asos, Boohoo, REVB, who have bought their shares at higher prices and are hoping to recoup their losses. This usually applies to posters who don't want to read negative posts about the shares they're losing money in.

You need to learn to be honest with your own mistakes. Sometimes, the best thing to do is take your losses and move on.

This is what I've done and then looked for shares who have growing revenues over a number of years, no debt, rising profits, making 10 to 20% or more profit from their revenues and maybe even paying dividends too.

They are out there, so stop hoping to recoup your losses or to make money on shares like Asos, Boohoo, THG, REVB and move on.

Recognise when you get angry with negative posts and galvanise this anger into finding better shares than into defending failing shares.

Asos has too much net debt for anyone to buy it. Too much competition now for anyone to buy it.

Unfortunately, Boohoo, Asos, THG or REVB will not be bought out.

You probably bought Asos a few years ago yourself thinking it was going to make you money.

You've learnt too, however, not enough to sell them, move on and learn from your mistake.

BW - it looks like you may be another poster who has bought THG at a much higher price and you're looking to recoup your losses.

If businesses want to make money, then they get their products manufactured as cheaply as possible and that is not in the UK.

Sad but true.

Owning production facilities in the UK means costs are huge compared to getting your products made in the likes of China or elsewhere.

If you look at the table above for Broker ratings, it looks to me like that £13.88 from J P Morgan may be wrong. If you look at all the other ratings from J P Morgan before the £13.88 and after the £13.88 they are a long way from £13.88.

So, maybe a mistake by this website. Maybe not.

I think the problem was too many thought Ingenuity was going to be huge in 2021.

Now, in 2024 realisation has stepped in and Ingenuity is losing money, not making money.

If you want to make money on shares, then you need to look for companies with growing revenue, no debt, rising profits and even better, paying dividends.

J P Morgan Cazenove have a target price of 49p for THG and have rated it as underweight which means sell.

THG owns the production facilities for THG Nutrition i.e. MyProtein.

Owning the production facilities is a huge cost to a business.

THG Nutrition i.e. MyProtein revenue is down 9% for Q1 2024.

Never think Asos is unlikely to fail.
