KR1 released its 2018 results on 31 May 2019.
Hopefully, the company can follow up on this and repeat the process for 2020 - the forward looking statement should provider useful information on upcoming events etc.
The results for 2019 were obviously delayed by the pandemic and were released on 31 Jul 2020.
Has anybody worked out if KR1 will report a profit for 2020 and how much - they have a very low cost base and the staking revenue could be in excess of any investments etc.
PD
I'm in favour of a 'picks & shovels' company providing inputs into cultured meat production - this would fit well with JM's biotech background.
For example CellulaREvoltion has developed a peptide coating that allows for cell culturing in a serum-free way - this apparently removes the need for animal based to be used during the cell culturing process.
just listened to the podcast.
I wonder what the 'white space' company Jim Mellon says is going to be set up under the Agronmics brand?
With Live Kindly possibly having an IPO value of €5bn - see Jim Mellon's comments in link below - BluNalu is likely to be significantly bigger in my opinion.

Posters need to also look beyond the NAV of ANIC's investments - when some of these investments IPO Jim's £500m looks small fry.
BlueNalu Signs MOUs with Mitsubishi Corporation and Thai Union to Accelerate Market Development Strategy for Cell-Cultured Seafood in Asia
New collaborations position BlueNalu for significant growth in Asia
April 28, 2021 — San Diego, Calif. BlueNalu, a leading innovative food company developing a variety of seafood products directly from fish cells, announced today the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) with two leading seafood providers in Asia — Thai Union, a global seafood producer with branded products sold worldwide and a dedication to sustainability and innovation, headquartered in Thailand, and Mitsubishi Corporation, a globally integrated business enterprise, headquartered in Japan, with a network of around 1,700 group companies across 90 countries. Both agreements are designed to assess market development strategies for BlueNalu’s cell-cultured seafood specifically in Asia where there is high demand for quality seafood and the potential for diminishing supply to feed its population during the coming years.
The collaborations represent a mutual interest in the commercialization of cell-cultured seafood in Asia and a commitment to sustainable seafood solutions in order to meet rising demand. Global seafood consumption is at an all-time high and continues to increase, particularly in Asia, outpacing the growth in population. Current seafood production from wild-caught and farm-raised sources cannot keep pace with demand according to the United Nations, which projects a supply chain gap representing 28 million metric tons of new seafood production will be needed by 2030, and cell-cultured seafood is seen as a third solution that can help meet that demand.

GVH,
just depends how you define 'on the sidelines'.
Hopefully, some of Anic's biotech legacy investments come up trumps - I believe they will be sold off 'opportunistically'.
Can't see any statement in the latest accounts stating how may shars we hold - probably held at cost as well.
PD
It's not clear from any of the reports how may shares Anic owns in:
Agex Therapeutics
Regents Pacific Group
Portage Biotech
But, if these have increased significantly in value perhaps they could provide a funding source for future investments.
BigDave
hopefully we won't need to wait until the end of July for an update on the portfolio of assets.
Having watched old and recent interviews with the management team I'm confident we will have a more detailed breakdown of assets now that the share price and mkt cap have appreciated considerably.

Hi all,
On page 25 of KR1's 2019 annual report its says the following:
'Whilst an argument could be made for Bitcoin and/or Ethereum to be considered at a higher level, they have
been treated as Level 3 for consistency purposes and to view the aggregate portfolio holistically.'
Does anybody know if KR1 holds any BTC or ETH or does this refer to the crypto that underlying projects are based on?

Hi all,
back in 2019 Argo was in discussions over a partnership with Hive - both parties withdrew from talks. See RNS below.
Does anybody see any benefit in the future of a merger to form a Bitcoin & Ethereum mining giant?

I'd run a series of concerts '12 days of Xmas' countdown.
Whatever is brewing the current proposition is morphing into a combo between Spotify+Netflix+PPV format across mobile, web, TV and VR.
Hopefully they have some New Order concerts in their library.

Mel5,
are you suggesting that the music industry is using MVR as a Trojan horse to regain some leverage, control and influence over the distribution of music via streaming and other means?
