If the trials for Asthma and COPD with SNG001 around 2014 seem to be successful and the conclusions are positive, why was this not taken to market?
Everything I further read on SNG001 gives me more confidence in my investment but that is the only thing I’m not sure about.
Hopefully it will be, like you say they will be relaxing some of the rules to get it through if it’s not perfect no doubt.
Has anyone with any knowledge in this field got a good idea of the accuracy this test should have?
I know it’s not an answer anyone will have but I’m assuming it’s going to be quite high as the CEO mentioned that the test looks for the spikes on the outside of the virus?
Am I wrong to think that?

Approval received to extend SG016 clinical study of SNG001 in COVID-19 to initiate patients in the home environment
Southampton, UK - 30 April 2020: Synairgen plc (LSE: SNG), the respiratory drug discovery and development company, announces that it has received approvals to extend the SG016 trial to patients with SARS-CoV-2 in the home environment. The objective is to initiate dosing with SNG001 (or placebo) earlier in the infection cycle, and before severe lower respiratory tract symptoms have developed. In due course, details of the design, implementation and timing of this novel study will be disclosed more fully.
The treatment of patients in the hospital setting in the SG016 study is progressing well, with more than 75 patients out of the target 100 now dosed with Synairgen's wholly-owned drug SNG001 or placebo. Results from this part of the study are still expected in June 2020
DubleD - Wow thanks for that. So your option would be to cash out when your investment drops 50% on no other basis than we havnt had any news?
OK that’s fine but the reason I bought into these shares was on the basis I could sell for £2.50+ which I am still confident about.
So you sell yours at 30p and I’ll hold then sell at £2.50.
Good luck with that mate.
So easy to spot people trying to talk the share price down now.
Yes it’s dropped, why panic? If you don’t trust your investment and you havnt worked out how much money you can make when you sell at your desired price then you need to sell up at a loss and go an buy a train set because this is not for you.
My average buy in is 63p and even if this drops to 30p I’ll still just be waiting for the RNS to push it back up then I’ll be in profit.
It’s not really that hard to do.
Patience and ignore these people talking it down because they only ever turn up when it suits them.
This is definitely positive news, although I agree it might be another few weeks or so before we get some results but it proves it’s all moving in the right direction and they know exactly what they need to go to get it shown in the best light. Hope the test is Avactas as I’m invested there aswell ha.
Rapid POC testing combined with SNG inhaler treatment that anybody in the world can use with no experience or training has got to be the best way forward in my eyes.
Are they referring to the Avacta POC rapid test there? Or too early to consider them as it hasn’t been approved yet?
If it was failing or had a negative impact on the patients it would definitely have been stopped, how could they still let it run to 6 weeks.
Maybe the results won’t be 100% conclusive as it seems they need to give the drug in the early stages to get the most benefit.
The only reason the share price is dropping is because people are selling out after a few days of not making any profit when others for example ODX have nearly doubled and GDR are going up also.
I cashed both my GDR and ODX in at a decent price and just bought more here while they are low.
Patience that’s all it is.
You wouldn’t of even bought into the share if you didn’t believe that it was possible so why worry so much?
Haha cheers lads.
I really do hope it works, all sounds positive from everything I read that’s why I’ve risked so much into it. I found the company and had invested before I found this forum.
Just itching for an RNS now so the price is bumped up a bit and I can sleep a bit easier ha.
I understand there is rampers and derampers, to be fair anyone with any sense can spot them a mile away even the ones who don’t say “get strapped in lads we’re going to the moon”
But seriously does anyone have a good idea of where we will be in 6 months or a year if the COVID19 is unsuccessful but the Astma and COPD is approved and goes to market?
There’s a fountain of knowledge on here and people can find links in seconds to results of trials from China etc so surely we can come to an agreement on an actual realistic price other than 10p or £10?
There’s lots of people on here far more educated in this field than me, as I’m an engineer by trade and I’m also quite new to this.
Just wondering if anyone can give me a realistic ball park figure where the share price will be in say 6 months from now if the trials for SNG001 are unsuccessful?
I’m not trying to create negativity or anything of the sort, I hold quite a sizeable holding and I truly hope this works to help the world in its current crisis.
Although as I like the company’s fundamentals I don’t think I’ll be scrambling to sell if the share price crashes.
Just want an honest opinion from anyone who could shed some light on it for me.
Cheers
I’m very new to this game, I’m not an expert in science or claim to have vast knowledge on COVID19 or indeed the stock market.
But I can do my own research.
I invested into Avacta before I found this forum after liking what I read about the company.
I truly hope this test is made available to the public to help the world with the current situation we find ourselves in.
I see a lot of posts on here like “get ready for lift off” and “20p by Friday”
I find it frustrating to see that this goes on in this world, it’s pathetic really.
At the end of the day we can all worry, stress, read, panic, etc etc but the way I see it is this..
Invest in the company your happy with, sit it out and get your reward at the end.
I just wanted to say thanks to all the informative posts and everyone who provides insight into things I could never find on my own, like articles and references to things that happened in the past.
Cheers
