I’m of the opinion now that any contracts are pending home use approval.
I can’t see why any country would want 20m tests a month without home use approval.
So I’ll hold on for that, which will hopefully be in the next few weeks.
Although I have been saying that for over a year now.
Surely this is priced in now
Published 18th March?
If Mologic and GAD are partners and we’re only going to make Mologics test for the Government, why would they allocate manufacturing capacity to Avacta when there own total capacity wouldn’t hit the government demand?
Doesn’t make business sense to do that at all
So it’s got to be for Avacta, although might not be all for Avacta.
I can’t see the government paying £10 a test, maybe £5 at a push
millions of tests even
We know they made the prototype, but are they going to contribute to the manufacturing capacity of Abingdon and BBI?
Could potentially add millions a tests no doubt
All profit is based on manufacturing capacity, so if we can only make say 10m tests a month, how can we sell 10m a day?
Doesn’t make sense to me.
I work in manufacturing and doubling your production capacity isn’t as easy as people think.
If they had rushed the test through and got it to market with lower s&s than we expected, then couldn’t hit the manufacturing demand.
So we would have a test on the market now?
Where would the share price be?
Would you be moaning more than you are now that they are don’t have a test on the market yet?
They are doing things right, yes it’s frustrating but it’s going to be massive.
Application will be made for the Ordinary Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM and dealings are expected to commence on 14 July 2020. The Ordinary Shares will rank pari passu with the existing Ordinary Shares of the Company.
Speaking to someone who’s accepted to take part they have confirmed they will receive both tests early July and they will only receive the results from the throat swab test as they are assessing the clinical effectiveness of the saliva test.

Help us improve COVID-19 testing
We are writing to invite you to take part in an important research study to improve COVID-19
testing. This study is being conducted by Imperial College London and Ipsos MORI on behalf of the
Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC). We have chosen your name at random, and
participation is completely voluntary.
If you register to take part, we will send you two tests to complete at home. We want to
compare the current standard test (a swab test of your nose and throat) with a saliva test. The
tests will be sent with full instructions and it is important that you complete both tests. We
need a wide range of people to take part, not only people who think that they may have COVID-19
at the time of the test.
It's easy to sign-up to take part
1. Go to the study website: www.reactstudy.org/salivareg
2. Enter this access code:
3. Enter your details and tell us if you would like to take part
It should only take you 5 minutes to register. If you sign up, we will send you a package containing
both tests to be administered at home. The tests will be returned to a laboratory (by a courier who
collects both completed tests from your home) for analysis. We will provide you with the result of
your swab test, and this may indicate whether you currently have the COVID-19 virus.
There will also be a short online survey that asks about you, your health and your experience of
taking both the tests. There is more information about the study on the back of this letter.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Yours sincerely,
Rethel

Has anyone seen the recent letters sent out from Department of health and social care imperial college London asking if people want to take part in a study to compare the current throat swab test to a new saliva based test?
I know a few people in my area who have been sent these letters now and was wondering if it will be Avactas test?
The letter states “help us improve COVID-19 testing”
“If you register to take part, we will send you two tests to complete at home. We want to compare the current standard test (a swab test of your nose and throat) with a saliva test.”

So if I sell them all at a massive profit now but leave the money in my Halifax account do I still need to declare it then pay tax? Or only pay tax when I transfer to a personal account?
Sorry I’m very new to this and haven’t seen it before. Say we get a £5bn offer for a takeover that would equate to around £20 share price?
Would our shares just go straight up to that price?
Forgive me if I sound a bit numb I’m just unsure how it works.
Cheers
Strange how through the daytime all you see is
“We’re going to the moon”
“Just bought another 100k because this is going to pop”
etc, etc, yawn
Then on a night time all the real investors get together and talk sensible about any new developments and potential risks etc.
Anybody new to investing, like myself, I would highly recommend only coming on here around 7pm onwards.
previous experience even
Can anyone with any precious experience in something like this tell me realistically what could happen to the share price if Danaher announce they will be buying out Avacta completely?
I know it’s unlikely but it’s a possibility and I’ve never seen something like this happen before so I’m unsure whether it will go up or down?
Cheers
Yes Miggy I couldn’t agree more, they will certainly be kicking themselves now.
If this proved to be successful it will be essentially priceless.
The more I think of the shear scale of demand this product will have the more I think a takeover will inevitably have to happen.
Thanks for shedding some light on that for me, I remember somebody mentioned that AstraZeneca were thinking of making an offer for SNG001 in the past.
I wonder if they come back and try to take it again? If it was around £240m in the past then surely it’s got to be a significant amount more if it’s proved a successful treatment for Covid-19.
