Nuri you’ll be complaining the beer is going out of date next. Had a pizza there a few days ago and was really impressed, especially as I got a pint of real ale with it for 9.50, my concern is the profit made, even my 9.50 includes nearly two pounds of VAT.
Government have to step in but will wait till the price cap is announced and new PM (and chancellor) are announced - otherwise business get increased costs plus a customer base that will have little disposable income.
Best scheme so far is the fund (touted as being for £100B but probably less) used to smooth out bills over the coming years
I was in a BrewDog last Sunday evening making use of their two free pints offer (be rude not too :-) and by the time we left around 6:30 there were no tables free and it has about a hundred tables! Even more shocking was the retail price of our free pints - £7.10 (city of London location), so there is definitely money about for quite a few. Could of been all tourists on the free offer LOL). Spoons does also get a lot of custom here too so I agree it’s not all doom and gloom, much more of a mixed picture.

Isn’t it Beverley McGregor selling? It’s a small amount but still, eyebrows will be raised.
If an offer was incoming can you imagine our scramble - I’m out.. me too ..me too etc :-)
With the USD strong makes a US based bid more likely too, not so much from Japan now! (ARM was bought just after brexit as the yen was strong against gbp)
Still, so light amongst all this doom and gloom would be good.
I’m always suspicious of such large downside pressure, the number of stoplosses triggered is anyone’s guess.
