I think the engines on the boeing aircraft that fell into oceans aint rolls? Happy to be corrected and not a nice thing to post. The point I'm trying to make is the SP is unreal. It's a good investment even if the traders have hold of it. Sell at open, buy back about 10.30? Retail investors are mugs :-)
Please fact check me, Rolls was the first entry into service on the 787 (TRENT1000 - ANA). Not so sure on the A380 (Trent 900) or A350(Trent AWB)? Airbus
The 787 is the important one - Boeing (USA) let ANA (Japan) choose RR (UK) to provide the engine for their new flagship aircrft. Forget P and W, they even overlooked GE after due diligence?
Pratt and Whitney is a poor man's RR. They get their orders coz they are north american in the smaller engine market. Not sure on the smaller engine market but it would be nice for RR to get more involved and wipe P and W out the equation. Lankey ugly engines. RR are concontrated on the 787 and A350 markets in my experience. I.e. flight time on life of product contracts
73.85 ask on HL - thats how the dodgey whipper snappers make money (not talking about HL). Insert any name in for whipper snapper. My HL account was at 81.00+ when I checked at 4.45ish. Technology for you. I'm not sure the micro second cables joining london to NY under the atlantic can keep up? Big descrepancies though? Retail investors - mugs
Thanks CL - still a lot better off then this time last month. DR just to clarify latest and greatest didn't mean the best ever RNS - it's a saying where I come from.
BB has been a lot more lively in the last few weeks.
Thanks for getting back CL And Fish. Still believing. It's the drops between news.- brutal
Yeah you're right CL I don't follow that closely and don't trade - it's my SIPP.
Might be wrong but all the biggest gains ever made on the stock market were shorts? I can see why
I was in the black for the first time in 3 years for a day - that's a win. had to doubledown massively. looking at my buys - 2k here and there at 20p, 15p, 10p. I first bought this at 2 to 4p but bought heavy on the JV news. I share peoples' frustration. Not sure how us LTH's can win when news flow is so low for an AIM company that the share price can loose 5pc a day for months/years awaiting that one spike. We did 100pc last yearish I seem to remeber but back on are bums within a week?
I agree - I'm not buying anymore but I am not selling. It's my biggest holding in a SIPP so obviously I'm long term. Only 49 years old :-) Just wanted to get some balance back on the BB. I do worry about the good news and JV's 'monetising' into share price and I'm not sure of the problem with that. I put it down to AIM and no news. It did 100% in a day in the last year or maybe the year before. No news and here we are again. They're will be people watching this board with more insight than me.
Think it's good for the new comers to learn from mistakes of listening to some of the people on these BBs. I'm still all for OMI. Don't ask me ask their JV's. Not sure how it translates to SP but I'm sure we will find out in time.
