Focus on BMN9 Mar 2020 16:53
Afternoon all.
I suggest that everyone remembers that significant global events weed out weak companies but strong ones will in general ride the storm if well managed and emerge in a strong position to take advantage of global recovery.
In my opinion BMN is a strong company with an excellent management team and, as today's RNS demonstrated, they are investing in future industries that the world will need just as much in the battle against climate change. That has not changed!
For those not aware of the share price history, BMN was a junior AIM explorer back in late 2016. It's share price had fallen from around 4 to 5p to a low of around 1.3p. The agents of doom infected the bb just as badly and those that focussed on the short term sp must have had a very nervous time of it.
Speaking only for myself I concentrated on the qualities of the management team and the likelihood that they would deliver on their business plan. Throughout that time I remained confident that my investment was sound and remained positive on this bb, receiving all sorts of insults for doing so.
However he who laughs last ... etc etc.
By late 2017, and after the initial Vametco acquisition, the sp had exceeded 9.6p. For the doubters that was a rise of more than 638% in less than one year!!! (Don't believe the doomsters that tell you it can't happen ... It already has!!!)
Further Vametco acquisitions and a sharply rising V price took the sp to 48p by late 2018. A rise of another 400% (or a rise of more than 3,500% in 2 years !!!! )
Since then we have acquired a second production plant Vanchem that should produce around 1,000 mtV in 2020, adding significantly to BMN's revenue and profit. Furthermore, efficiencies at Vametco have resulted in yet lower production costs and increased output. This will all work its way into the balance sheet and profits in the fullness of time.
There have been clear steps towards revenue generation from BE and the formation of partnerships with other energy storage businesses, as we have seen today in the RNS.
Right now global events are taking their toll on everyone but in my opinion this is a strong company with a great future. I will be holding on to my shares as firmly as ever. These events will pass and as we know from BMN's history this share can rise far and fast.
