Anyway I could continue but my point is that in respect of the important aspects of BMN’s operations and business, those factors that strongly influence its success, I don’t discuss the negatives because I don’t see any. I see a business that offers great opportunities for longterm investors with patience, even if my own health issues may mean that I never see the real benefit of this as a shareholder.

I see a leader of the company with great strategic vision and and the ability to deliver his plans. In my experience that is relatively rare on AIM, particularly in this sector. I agree that at best BMN’s ability to get this story out to the investment community is at best mixed but behind the scenes is a solid business that is working towards delivering its objective of creating a large low cost vertically integrated vanadium platform.

So I have laid out my assessment of BMN. I now invite the defenders of negatives to lay out those. And I don’t mean minor issues ... i bean the big ticket items that will make or break the company.

All very well having these grand plans but how are they paid for? Can we expect significant dilution, trashing the value of our investment? Well that happens a lot on AIM. Too easy for lifestyle companies to constantly dilute to keep the lights on and pay the Director’s fees. Certainly not the case here!!! Fortune Mojapelo is on record for saying he wants to avoid unnecessary dilution and his history demonstrates that. He also took no salary increase for several years while the company was growing. Complete contrast to many CEOs on AIM. And when bonuses have been paid they have taken shares, displaying confidence in the company. No negative here.

Some might say that BMN don’t always do what they say. Well that is certainly true. Dates have sometimes had to move or be put on hold, but usually due to changing circumstances. For example my understanding of JSE listing being put on hold was due to Vanchem becoming available and requiring their full attention, and of course changing the size and value of the company which no doubt would affect the listing. (This particular point is only my understanding and don’t claim to have full knowledge.) the point is BMB management have demonstrated themselves to be flexible and responsive to changing circumstances. That necessitates altering the plans, but usually to be replaced by a new objective. Thus ability of our BoD to be responsive to changing circumstances is one of the main reasons why I remain as a long term shareholder! No negative here.

Here’s one the doubters haven’t raised for a while ... the South African Government and corruption in general. There is no denying this is a challenging environment for any company. However I think it is fair to say that Fortune knows his way around this particular swamp and has done very well in managing these challenges. I suspect he is quite well known in high up circles and we have seen him sharing the stage with President Ramaphosa. I believe the company is in very capable hands here. Any negatives to some extent offset by the skills of the CEO to navigate a safe course.

Perhaps there are social or moral issues with the company and its operations? Well if there are then I don’t see them. Plenty if evidence that Fortune plays by the rules. They have negotiated good contracts with there staff and are involved in community projects as I understand it. They strictly comply to heath and safety rules and are conscious of their environmental obligations. No negatives here for me.

Part 3

Perhaps the markets BMN are targeting are declining or being replaced by 21st century industries? No. The steel market looks set to increase due to post Covid infrastructure projects and in China in particular the enforcement of more rigorous rebar standards. The VRFB market is very much an expanding market with huge growth opportunities. No negative here.

Falling or unstable Vanadium prices. Well this has been a problem in the past. However price trends are currently upwards and not unrelated to my previous point this seems set to continue. However the risk that high Vanadium prices could bring in slowing down VRFB growth is covered by BMN through being the first company to develop electrolyte rental agreements with their partners. No negative here then. In the unlikely event of falling V prices this is now likely to stimulate expansion of VRFB uptake and discourage Niobium substitution in the steel industry, both of which should constrain the degree of price fall. BMN seem to have covered all bases here. No negative here.

Perhaps the company will be unresponsive to changing markets? Unlikely. Look no further than how they have dramatically increased sales to China in response to the higher prices in that market. No negative here.

Part 2

High on the list on AIM is the junior mining explorer that makes big promises to become a producer backing this up with an overly optimistic PR campaign to suck in pi’s, then hammering them with large dilution whilst never getting into meaningful production. If you want a classic example look no further than the Weald oilfield where I suffered my biggest losses.

By complete contrast BMN back in 2013 set out on its path to become a producer and delivered on its promise. As soon as BMN acquired part of Vametco it separated itself from the vast majority of wannabe miners on AIM. The management delivered. No negative here.

Many companies have plans to expand but often fail. BMN on the other hand have delivered big time. They acquired a second producing plant (Vanchem), increased ownership of Vametco and raised production. They are currently working towards further increases in production at both plants. The management have delivered. No negative here.

I think there is a lot of nonsense being posted about attempts to limit debate on this bb. And even if that does happen for every criticism of negative posters there are as many attempts to discredit those with a wholly positive view of BMN. So let’s cut the cr*p and examine what these negatives are that so many of you are so anxious to have discussed.

This company’s operations are diverse and complicated so I am definitely NOT talking about minor details ... I mean big ticket items that can make or break a company in terms of value for its shareholders.

And to those who think comments on a bb don’t make a difference I say nonsense! I first invested here after a reference elsewhere brought me to the BMN bb and info that helped me decide to invest. Over the years I have had thanks from people for my comments helping them to invest or not to sell during difficult times. Also ask any troll, paid or otherwise, why they spend their precious time on bbs if their activities make no difference!!!!

What is written on these bbs does influence investors decisions. How much that affects the share price I don’t know.

Bugerov I note the recs to your posts suggest that some here agree with you. However I hope that they have also understood the misinformation in your post and the rather questionable ‘stepford’ comment.

This bb regularly debates a wide range of issues and almost always both sides of any discussion are represented. If you are well read on this bb you should know this. To suggest otherwise would be a lie.

My point is that the REPEATED raising of the same negative point is potentially harmful to sentiment and achieves nothing, particularly as the only substantial negative that many here agree on is that PR is not as good as it could be.

The PR issue has been raised and debated many many times over the years. Can you point to any substantial change this approach has made to BMNs strategy? I doubt it very much.

If those debating a point such as this genuinely want better PR then mindlessly repeating the same complaints on the bb with no detectable result is perhaps not the best way forward I am sure you would agree. Therefore if that is not working then a new approach is required. In my opinion if you have a serious issue it is best to raise it directly with the company.

Now if there are REAL negatives about the way BMN conducts its business and that seriously threaten its viability or potential as a good long term investment I am all for debating those points. Perhaps you can suggest what they might be because at present I don’t see them.

What I do see are many reasons to be very optimistic about the future of BMN and as this is quite a complex business that information should be constantly presented on this bb so that potential investors can fully understand the opportunities. As far as I am concerned this is one if the most important functions of a bb such as this.

As for the current share price I think you would be very naive to think that it is a true reflection of BMNs performance. Other factors are clearly dominating and they have been extensively discussed, including large sellers(fact), shorting (fact) and market manipulation by mms (not so easy to establish but some have strong suspicions supported by evidence).

Let’s face it the odds are stacked against private investors. A bb like this allows the dissemination of information on good investment opportunities in ways that didn’t exist say 30 years ago. Let’s use this opportunity to support our investment in this very exciting company and push back against those forces that would seek to take our money from us.

Nobody is trying to shut down reasoned debate. It occurs almost every day on this bb, much of it supported by detailed evidence and research. But unnecessarily negative comments that are damaging to sentiment, particularly when we need new investors to help shift the share price, MUST be challenged.

First of all may I say you gave them a lesson in restraint and courtesy in your responses. Huge credit to you that you did not lose your rag under persistent pressure.

Some won’t like this (but frankly I don’t care) .... Libero please carry on posting exactly as you wish. That is your right. I don’t agree with everything you write but I love your positivity. If others don’t like it let that be their problem not yours.

Cindercone it’s all very well to talk tough but what have you actually done to help other investors understand the complicated activities of BMN? By comparison to Alfacomp absolutely zero yet you have the arrogance to attack him at every opportunity.

I’m not in the least interested in what you think of other contributors so as you seem unable to stop then sadly I have to put you back on the naughty step.

Shame because I think you are intelligent enough to make a useful contribution here, but you negativity and aggressive style are simply not for me.

It is the weekend and I think it is fairly clear that some of us need to take a moment to regroup our thoughts.

It seems to me that there has been too much focus on those things that divide us. There may be some reading this that are happy with this situation, though I doubt that includes any real longterm holders.

It is very unfortunate that BMN’s PR partial blind spot has resulted in this tension on the bb. Fortune if you read this then please do what you can to raise your game on this one issue. Infighting between your shareholders does absolutely no good to the image of your company, and for whatever reason there appears to be little doubt that your share price is suffering.

I think most would agree that the PR needs improving. The real division appears to be whether or not this issue should be repeatedly raised on this forum or would it be better to contact the company directly with your concerns. My views on this specific point have already been posted so rather than fan the flames I will simply express my general opinion that too much negativity on a bb will never help raise a share price!

Perhaps we need to get back to what unites us all ... a belief that the BoD have done a great job in delivering the company to this point and that the future plans are very exciting. In my opinion there is the potential for very significant future shareholder returns and the current sp looks like a great buying point.

How can we help raise sentiment here? Take every opportunity to get this positive message out there. Support your investment. Explain to new investors the activities of the company and why you think they could expect good returns from buying BMN shares.

Sanchez what people like me are concerned about is NOT discussing comms as such,which you implied. It is the endlessly repeated negativity. And I think you may be missing something.

Neither you nor I know what shapes Fortune''s thinking buy I suggested that instead of complaint on this bb folks email the company. Of late I note many comments from people reporting that they emailed concerns about comms and other issues.

And suddenly we have better comms. Quite a coincidence that after years of bb moaning we suddenly get action after a spate of emails!

I absolutely stand by my coviction that it is better to promote the company here and take take any concerns you may have directly to the Bod.

However that is just my opinion

You and I have been here a long time and experienced the many highs and lows of a BMN longterm shareholder.

Pleased to note that you have emailed the company but disappointed that you have not received a response. That is not something for the BoD to be proud of. And similar with PR in general.

The issue I have is how people respond to this. We all know that BMN has made remarkable progress over the last 4 years and most would agree that this is not properly reflected in the share price. But what can we as shareholders do about that?

The expression ‘two wrongs don’t make a right’ seems appropriate. Some think that because the comms are not good this point should be repeatedly brought up on the bb. To my mind wrong action (or inaction!) by BMN is met with wrong action by some shareholders constantly moaning about it, with the potential damage to sentiment. I understand and share the frustration of course.

You asked about my health which perhaps offers a good analogy. Cancer has forced me to live in a very real world, not the world I want. I could spend my time getting angry, depressed and frustrated by this but that wouldn’t change a thing. So I take one day at a time and take every positive that I can. I have changed my diet (far more healthy now), given up alcohol tea and coffee, and engage in as much exercise as I can. In other words I am doing everything positive that I can in the hope that it might make a difference. Even if this has no impact at least I feel that I have done my best to live with cancer.

And that has always been my approach to investing in BMN. Don’t focus on the negative. Instead I have done all I can to promote positive sentiment and encourage others to invest. Without new investors the share price will never achieve full value. This isn’t the “rose tinted glasses” that people like me sometimes get accused of. It is a calculated position, promoting what I believe to be a very good company with the potential to deliver excellent returns for shareholders.

It is not about telling people what they should or should not be writing on this bb. More a case of encouraging people to consider the impact of their comments. If you want a higher share price are you taking the right action to support that? If the BoD don’t respond to bb complaints about PR then why keep repeating the same ineffective action? Change the record! Promote your investment.

Anyway apologies for rambling on. I blame another sleepless night.

CHoS have you emailed the BoD with your concerns about comms / PR? If not why not? You seem to have strong views on this matter ... have you done anything constructive to improve things or to raise sentiment or are you just another moaner?

Let me make it clear that I don’t disagree with the notion that the Company’s PR is poor and needs to improve. However to endlessly complain about it on this bb is a waste of time and potentially damaging to sentiment. You want a better share price? How about engaging brain and spend a little time promoting the achievements of the company .... they are considerable and the future plans are exciting. Tell this to the world.

If you confined your comments to things BMN instead of these silly unprovoked attacks on your fellow shareholders you may find that people would show more respect with regard to your posts.

Cindercone your use of dual identities if true excludes you from the right to judge others as far as I am concerned. I wouldn’t trust anything you say due to that deceit.

Interesting that post after post from you today attacking other people added nothing useful to any debate, and no doubt you have elevated yourself to the high status of judging who is a ramper or a deramper.

It comes as no surprise to me nor should it to anyone of sound mind that people who have invested their hard earned cash into a company should feel positive about that investment and are prepared to say so. If those sentiments are real and supported by the facts as they see them that is the perfect reason for being positive on a bb. I would like more posters to support BMN. This is a good company with an exciting future. That is a story that needs to be told.

Of course there will always be grumps who want to spoil the party. So be it but what a sad way to behave.
