Well according to that page Alfa there is one CSP (100MW) in the Northern Cape, south of Upington.

The Dyason's Klip 1 (which is 75MW is to be constructed on Portion 12 of the farm Dysonsklip 454 approximately 15 km south west of Upington, over an area of 208 hectares. adjacent to the property for the Sirius Solar PV Project One.

Maybe that's the one BMN are working on? Hopefully we'll find out soon enough.

The Northern Cape where the ones I was looking at are for 44.5MWh between 7 sites so probably not what I was looking at. Just so excited/curious to know where/what they're working on. I'm obviously trying to a BBN (and failing badly) and work out where it could be :)

I'm trying to find some information on what the PV and battery storage project BMN could be involved with and pretty much coming up with a blank other than the following from a couple of weeks ago but cant seem to find many details for the three projects to be built. The only link that drew me to it was the 'six plants are expected to generate a combined 1,000GWh of power that will be sold to Eskom, South Africa’s state-owned utility, under 20-year PPAs. '

Of the 3 that haven't been built I found this Sirius proposal document. It says that battery storage isn't a consideration but it was put together in January 2014 when the economics of including it would not ahave been worth it.

I read that article and just felt, as I do with a lot of these articles at the moment, that they are grudgingly giving credit to BMN, which I find really strange

Alfa, I find it unbelievable that anyone with any knowledge of this company, it's assets, it's ambitions and drive and the determination of the management could think of selling. Crazy. Takes all sorts I suppose.

It's a shame that the few hours at the end of yesterday and this morning have wiped out the hard earned rise over days though.

I contacted Chika after the webinar congratulating her, Mikhail, Fortune and the rest of the staff on a great presentation. I also enquired about the Bushveld Energy update asking whether it was still due mid month saying it would be good to keep the current momentum going.

Chika contacted me last night thanking for the kind words and just confirmed it will be this month but couldn't provide any further info.

That may be about to change. Asked whether its shares might attract a premium if it dropped its exposure to coal, the company told us the following: “Whilst continuing to support Lemur Coal with its power and mine BFSs [bankable feasibility studies] and its funding discussions ahead of construction, Bushveld sees its long-term relationship with Lemur Coal as non-core.” The group added that it would support Lemur in its efforts to become an independent company.
